šŸ˜ƒAWESOMENESS!!! · 10:35pm Apr 21st, 2019

So, I just saw ā€œSparkleā€™s Sevenā€ today. It was really fun, and it was even an excellent way for the series to celebrate reaching its 200th episode.

But, you guys wanna what I thought the best part about it was?

Seeing the behind-the-scenes interview on YouTube yesterday, and the episode today, I felt so glad that Spikeā€™s relationship with Twilight and Shining is confirmed as that of a little brother to the two of them. I actually found Spike and Twilight to be like that of a brother and sister from the very beginning really.

Whenever I read the theory saying that Twilight and Spike were like a mother and son, as well as found how many people agree with that, I actually thought that that didnā€™t feel right because of how the two interact. Now, Iā€™m just so glad that theyā€™re confirmed to be a brother and sister rather than a mother and son. For me, it was like a prayer to Jesus was answered, because this was how I viewed them from the start and I have been hoping that their sibling relationship would be confirmed.

What thoughts do you guys have on the matter? As well as on the episode?

For me I felt Twilight and Spike shared this family bond regardless if it was as siblings or one between a parent and a child. From the very beginning, Spike's birth was but a small step for Twilight Sparkle to get into Celestia's School of Magic and he's stuck by her ever since. Sure there were times Spike has had his low moments, like when he only agreed to watch the pets for gemstones or the time he tried to frame that owl because he thought he was stealing his job or when he just used Twilight and her friends condition from the poison joke plants just to come up with puns. But given time, Spike has stepped up when it comes to helping his friends and because he knows Twilight so well he knew what he had to try to do to calm her down (And when he couldn't do it alone, he knew she'd listen to Celestia).

Yes we would've liked to see Spike's 'real' parents, not that con artist from the last season. We'd want to know if he truly had a mother or a father, but for the time being Spike already has a family who's given him a home, a warm place to sleep, and they let him go on some of their journeys when needed. And look at him now. As of today, it's finally been confirmed he's the brother Twilight and Shining Armor always had and it's finally paid off.

To me, I didn't really see Twilight's and Spike's relationship being solely brother-sister or mother-son, but Twilight being like a big sister/mom hybrid, or a type of big sister that has a more maternal role than they usually do

Compared to how most siblings in the show act, including Twilight and Shining Armor, Twilight and Spike's relationship seemed different.

I completely agree with you. Besides, it's not uncommon for sisters to act somewhat maternal with their younger siblings if there's a big enough age difference.

Considering how loyal he has been to twilight and the relationship they have shared these past 200 episodes, i could think of no more fitting reward!

I loved the episode!

As for Twilight and Spike, Iā€™m really kind of both ways on it. Iā€™ve mostly just thought of them as friends, not really anything more specific than that, I guess in the show, it does (especially now) seem more like a sibling thing, but Iā€™m not really set on any particular interpretation.

Easily one of the best episodes by far. The fact that they're finally starting to ramp up security is really great. Although, they might want to find an alternative for keeping flying creatures out. Those fans would probably cause quite the inconvenience, to say nothing of the power they must all suck up.

The whole thing with Spike was amazing. Seriously, if anyone still has doubts that he's just treated as a servant, I hope this episode demolished those notions. And speaking of Spike, him and Luna conspiring to get the crown together was simply glorious.

But let's be honest with ourselves...the absolute best part of the episode was...

EDIT: Also, good grief, Zephyr Breeze is a creep!

And G4 Rainbow Dash now dresses in style.

Eh. There ain't no Raphael vs. Leonardo in my family. But overall there are a lot of eye poppers here and there.

Looks like Spike is officially Twi's little bro.
