    Droppin' By

Hello, I was in the neighborhood and had just realized that my last blog post was a bit of a downer, given that it was around the time of my Grandma's passing and funeral. I think I oughta leave you folks with something a bit more upbeat or at least something neutral.

    And Now, A Newsletter

Huh, back in July I said I oughta talk more around here. It's now the day after Christmas and I have not, in fact, talked more around here.

So, I'll give you the rundown on what I've been up to since then. Warning, it gets a little long in talking about last summer's vacation and about a new fixation I have.

Thoughts on Season 9 Premiere · 1:33pm Apr 10th, 2019

In which Flutterguy tries to take over Equestria.

Sombra's voice is weird. :applejackunsure:

Yanno, this feels like some weird mix between the Crystal Empire, Princess Twilight Sparkle, and Twilight's Kingdom. Hey, I like all those episodes, and I very much liked this one. Only major problems I can think of are that the pacing's a little wonky, and oh my gosh Celestia, it's one thing for you and your sister to retire, but at least give Twilight several months to properly prepare to rule!

Pfft, the funny thing about Grogar to me is that after we've been horseless for a while (yeah... I forgot to break that news a while back, we sold our younger horse and put down the older one; after my dad got into bike riding, we weren't really doing anything with them and April was getting old :twilightsheepish:), we're planning on getting goats. Also, on another weird note, does anyone else find Grogar's bottom teeth oddly fascinating to look at, especially when he's talking? I don't know what it is, they're not that remarkable, but I can't stop staring at them. :rainbowderp:

In any case, while I'm a little disappointed that he didn't do much, he does have a boatload of potential that I hope to see unleashed in the finale. And he actually got the idea for a freakin' alliance! Halfway there to a villain friendship to rival the Mane Six (it's not quite friendship, but it's a step in an interesting direction).

And I wonder what kind of long-reaching consequences there are for the destruction of the Tree of Harmony and the Elements. At least the Magic of Friendship is still intact, but still. I do wish that that trailer didn't spoil it, because it could have had a bigger impact if it came out of nowhere.

Regardless, I'm excited for how the last season is going to unfold.

At least the trailer was able to keep Grogar's Legion of Doom under wraps. Definitely looking forward to see what they do with the evil team-up.

My friend recently had 5 baby goats dumped onto their lap, so if you want some several-month-old male kids, uhhhh, let me know.
