and there it goes again · 2:09am Mar 29th, 2019
Edit 29/3/2019 1:50pm Huh. Clipconverter is working again already? That was a lot faster than i expected
i'm not happy about this. very annoyed, actually. VERY annoyed.
over the latter half of last year and for most of this year i have mostly relied on a website known as https://www.clipconverter.cc/ for the majority of my video downloads, along with occasionally https://keepvid.site/ and https://ytmp3.cc/ whenever there was a slight issue like copyrighted music being in a video preventing the first from converting it.
however, as of today, it seems clipconverter is being a dick. I downloaded 3 videos, just 3 and now every time i try to convert another video for download, it tells me the website has notice a large number of requests from the network i'm using AGAIN and, for safety reasons, needs me to confirm i'm not a robot by doing a test.
now, this is nothing new, per say. granted, it normally only did that when i downloaded over 20 videos in a short span of time, but doing the test isn't something i mind too much.
however, the problem is, when i click on the box that says "I am not a robot" to continue, i get a message saying due to their desire to protect their users, clipconverter cannot process my request and to try again later.
from past experience, this means i likely should wait til next week, as in next Thursday or Friday, before trying again.
so, not only have i essentially been locked out of clipconverter's services, but it was only after a measly 3 videos.
Thankfully, there is a light at the end of that tunnel. when it says it can't on the network, it strictly means the Library's computer network, which is what i use all the time now and will continue to until i move in with my dad in about 3-4 months and once i'm using the computer network in my dad's place, it'll be a totally different network, so there should be no more issues so long as i'm careful.
however, downside is, that's still about 4 months from now, which is 4 months where i won't be able to use clipconverter at all, period.
now, i do still have one of the other two downloading websites i mentioned, though i'm a bit hesitant with them compared to clipconverter for one reason or another. i'll still use them and am thankful for them, but i do prefer clipconverter.
I just would've rather this problem not rear its head AGAIN in the first place, especially since it was just so random when it happened and ESPECIALLY with season 9 starting next week.
it also doesn't help that it isn't the only downloading website that's decided to not work properly anymore. https://keepvid.work/ doesn't even let me download from it anymore at all. i keep getting a screen saying i'm not authorized to use the page when i click download. it's very frustrating and honestly a bit insulting.
If things go well, i should at least be able to return to clipconverter next week. i'm just going to have to start being extra careful when i use it, i guess so this DOESN'T happen again. it's especially annoying as, the last time it asked me to do the test, it didn't have any problems. i was easily able to do the I'm Not A Robot test and it didn't have any issues, but now it is.
it's just a pain in the rear and really brought down my mood.
i don't think i'll have the drive to write another chapter for either The Human Lifestyle... with Magic or Twilight's Twinlight today. this was just too much of a buzzkiller for me.
I've always used YTD YouTube Downloader. I'd recommend that.

the country that AB is in will not allow YTD he is kind of stuck.

Well that sucks.

that's the website i mentioned in my blog that is still working. I just hesitate using it at times because sometimes the videos i download from it have a lag. thankfully, this time i avoided it, but i still worry about future downloads, especially once season 9 starts next week
you have a lot of issues, dang... I have a software downloaded that downloads videos, I planned to use it for trying to self-teach editing, but never got around to it. 4k Downloader is the process.
I use VLC Media player, theres a video on HOW to do it
