So, I just saw the 2nd trailer to the 9th season of FiM today, and...*sniffles*...youāre literally not gonna believe what I saw.

Iām sorry. Iām sorry, just, feeling really emotional now. It was beautiful. And so heart-tugging.
Seeing this trailer gave me the most awesome and emotional feelings ever, I mean, King Sombraās returning! Princess Celestia and Luna are planning to retire, leaving the Main Six in charge! Quibble and Cheese Sandwich, along with Patton Oswalt and āWeird Alā Yankovic, are confirmed by official sources to be returning for the 200th episode! And for the Young Six...
Iām not sure whatās gonna be up for them, but, I definitely canāt wait to see.
Iām not even sure what Discordās going to be doing, but, he was very prominently featured in the trailer, so it must be something big for him.
I literally canāt wait until April 6th, which is when it comes out, to spend time with the characters on the screen one last time before it mostly all comes to reruns.
My only concerns are these:
There are so many fanfic series that are currently running, like āThe Disney Chroniclesā. Each of them were made long before this season has started coming, and with the direction itās going in, I only wonder how everyone out there is going to fit their stories into the canon of the actual series.
With the knowledge and rumors of this season being the last, I decided to delay myself from making some certain stories to see how I can fit them into the canon, because there are many that I want to write about that involve the Main Six. As a plus, especially, it can make it easier for me to decide where to fit some fanfics I plan on doing.
For all you guys out there, my time with the series has been especially full of awesomeness, and I only hope itās been the same for you guys too. And around here...Iāve been having the best time of my life, running into such wonderful people and friends here, and doing such wonderful stuff to bring joy to everyone. The series will be ending, but, my time here, as well as being a fan, will always be going. I hope it can be the same with all you wonderful guys and gals.
To change the subject, Iāve been counting up the votes that were made about what mare to pair Rockhoof with for a story that I decided to set myself up for:

Nurse Redheart: 10
Coco Pommel: 7
So, as you can see by these votes that were made on my blog from two days ago, as well as from threads that I made in various groups...Applejack has come in first place, with Redheart being in second place by only being four votes behind. As for Coco, sadly, she came in last place, trailing behind Redheart by only three votes.
So...Applejack has definitely won the contest.
However, despite these votes, I canāt help but find myself leaning towards Redheart the most. As a matter of fact, I made a vote for her myself.
But, just because I say these things doesnāt mean Iām giving official confirmation on which mare will be starring with Rockhoof. As usual, I like to keep my plans for something a secret, so, the world will never know what Iāll be planning.
So, with all of this mind, thank you guys for your time.
I agree about the trailer, thatās exactly how I felt about it too.
It's funny enough I had just posted the news about this upcoming premier as my first official blog since coming to the site (Which I recommend a read in case you're interested). My only regret was having signed up so late when I was already such a big fan of the show since Day 1. But back then, my busy life kind of got in the way and at the time I didn't have a reason to come to Fimfiction. But then I discovered the 'Disney Chronicles', combining my love for Disney movies (At least most of what I've seen) and the MLP franchise that I just had to sign up for the site. Now here we are with news about the last moments of the final season: Princesses retiring, familiar faces returning, a group of villains assembling, and the ponies possibly being next in line for the throne (And not some heir apparently), this season could be very big and the emotions will skyrocket through the roof. I don't know how the end of the season will effect the progress of fanfics on this site, perhaps it'll make things easier without being too close to the canon or maybe they'll continue to pay homage to the show in retaining some details, but otherwise as long as there are still creative juices flowing the stories will proceed.
As for what's going on with that poll at the moment, I will say this. I've been on forums where I've done thousands of polls (Mostly for YouTube shows) and just because the majority of the voters picked an option when the show itself came on it ended up with a different outcome. So just because Applejack leads with the total votes as to be the potential love interest for Rockhoof, it doesn't mean you 'have' to cast A.J. in the main lead. At the end of the day, the story remains under 'your' control and the rest of us are just a bunch of dudes (And dudettes) voicing our opinions that may or may not be acknowledged depending on preference. In the end, it is entirely your decision and if you want to cast Redheart as the love interest (Considering she hardly has a story of her own on the show anyway)... I, the Dramamaster, will be happy with your decision so long as it guarantees we'll still have a great story with unforgettable characters.
P.S. Even if people get butthurt because their choice wasn't picked, let them throw their tantrums... They don't last forever.

I think there was a female guard during the Season 8 finale, but it was one of those 'blink and you'll miss it' moments. But yeah, considering there are female Wonderbolts which serve as the airforce, you'd think there'd be female guards in this form of military. Because looking back in Season 1, the guards were mostly the same until it slowly became... Diverse in a sense.

Based on what we are seeing in the trailers, it would appear that the princesses retirement is to be what takes place during the season premier. Because if we look at the end of the trailer, it seems they launch a final means of assist to the group when the Crystal Empire is deeply threatened due to King Sombra's questionable return. Hopefully, they prove useful at this point and not made to go under that hypnotism spell that appeared during the teaser.

Doesn't appear to be a test because it seems that the tree of harmony is legitimately destroyed, but we shall see. Rumor has it that Gen 1 alumni 'Grogar' could be responsible for how these villains are coming together, but if it's true Grogar is set to appear they are doing their hardest to keep him in the dark for later. Just because it appears in the teaser that the girls managed to beat Sombra without their elements, doesn't mean we will see the last of him if he was able to resurrect himself the first time.

Chances are we'll probably get more questions than answers, but considering this is the final season overall, we can't expect 'all' of them to be answered. The best we can do from here on out is appreciate what the show was able to offer us over the years and whatever we can imagine happening next we just leave it to our minds to wander, regardless if the mindset is right or wrong. Who knows? Maybe we'll get a time skip during the finale which shows what happens to the ponies after the series comes to an end.
Though if you want to go for a 'clever' ending, the ending should fit the beginning. If we recall, the show began with the opening of a book... So I'd think it would make sense to end with a close of the book as if the whole series was one big storybook the entire time or at least memories of their adventures together.

Up till now, we've slowly had to come to terms with the fact that Scootaloo just 'can't' fly. She started to consider that thought when she struggled before the 'Friendship Games' and she upright said she couldn't fly when she tried joining that stunt team. On the one hand, it looks like a physical limitation whether it's weight or wing-span... Or maybe it's an emotional deal because she definitely wants to be able to do it. Heck, when she's underwater, she feels as if she's flying which is as close as she can get. Course, the day we find out why she can't fly is the same as wondering why the hell we've never seen her parents (According to one story, her parents are always busy and she lives with two aunts).

Scootaloo definitely lives some place. It's not an orphan's home to say the least, by that I'm referring to the moment when she appears to quit the team. Course, it's one thing to do some stories outside the show fandom but until her family makes an appearance ever makes an appearance during the season it's not going to be considered 'canon' otherwise (At least to some). And being that this will be the final season of the show before Generation 5, ultimately it's everyone's last chance to know the story behind Scootaloo. Why she cannot fly? Why we never seen any of her family? And what's to become of Scootaloo when the show is finally over?
Those are the many questions to consider.

Hmm... Maybe. Course that moment with Scootaloo did inspire a fan video featuring that 'The Little Mermaid 2' song 'For a Moment' as done by that Disneyfanatic lassie. Oh yes, it definitely matches the moment to a T even though it wasn't the greatest sequel. Still, the fact Tara Strong got to perform with Jodi Benson, an icon in Disney, is such an honor.
As for Scootaloo herself... In a way she definitely felt at home in the sea, hopefully she still has that pearl if she ever wanted to pay a visit.
I'm trying not to be sad, but I'm going to miss this show once it's over.

Well for that to happen we'd have to know if any of the Mane Six decide to settle down with any colt. For all we know, some of them might not even like guys given the era we live in right now. And even if they don't settle down, they'll always keep in touch as the years go by. But maybe we'll get to see some of the kid characters we've come to enjoy grow up whether they decide to pursue the dreams they've always wanted or perhaps going for something we didn't expect (Not even they). For example:
Sweetie Belle always wanted to work in fashion like her big sister, but as we saw in the earlier seasons... Didn't turn out so good. Who knows? She might grow to be a famous pop singer since she grew so confident with music.

This series has been to to us in so many ways that I cannot even describe!!! It's taught us so many life lessons and what it means to be a true friend, and show just how powerful friendship is!!! I don't want this show to end, but alas, all good things must come to an end! While the show may be gone, we'll be here to keep the fandom and the power of friendship alive! Don't be said that it'll be gone...be happy that you got to see it happen...

There's definitely this Avengers feel with the premier. But if it could anything as 'Endgame' might imply, if there's a chance to recover a few friends turned to dust, even if the elements are shattered there must still be power residing in our heroes yet. Why else would they still be willing to fight Sombra against all incredible odds?
How about you start the story with Big Mac dating all 3 of them
and them you write 3 different endings,
