I'm a what?! · 7:15am Feb 17th, 2019

So, I decided to read the dang books because characterization is important.

My thoughts from the first 30 or so pages:

Damn there's some good stuff in here to use
The Dursley's descriptions somewhat don't match their movie selves (as you will find out later, I will be using something more like the book descriptions)
I came a lot closer to Harry than the movies did. The sarcasm and anger he presents right from the start is delightful. When he's getting his first letter? Glorious!

Anyway, back to writing for now. Wait, maybe I'm forgetting something?

I feel like I should read the Harry story but I'm not a fan of the series

You should give it a try. It's quite different from the movies. I would say even more enjoyable.

I read a couple of the books too but even then it never sat with me you know. Don't get me wrong it's good but it won't stick with me

Well considering that the story diverges hard from the book plot within the first paragraph or so... You got no worries on that score.

About time lol you really gotta read the books to understand the movies and whst they missed sorry just when i did read it it just felt like an attempt in the first chapter you did of telling the movie

You're a not-unicorn, Harry.

Poor dazed not-a-unicorn. Too adorable for his own good.
