...it's Pinkie Pride-aversary!
Am I crazy for still celebrating it? Probably. Am I going to stop? I dunno, this is too much fun.
So, for this year, since I had some certain pics of the aging variety for the Flormato kids like the one I showed you in the last journal, I thought it was only fair for their cousins, the CheesePie kids, to have those as well. After all, the twins are my first NextGens, and I'd be remiss if I didn't do this for them. Plus, CheesePie is mandatory today, and these six do count for that category. Links to DeviantArt pages are in the names.
I won't lie, it's kind of fun being in that rare category of people who bother to make their firstborn a son (and even making the family mostly male until Sugar Surprise was created and balanced the genders), even if that firstborn is a twin whose first sibling was a sister. Pizza Pockets here is the only one of the kids to have his own 'Pinkamena' state when he's upset; the rest get bristly haired when they're angry like their father.
One of the weirdest things I remember when first creating Fudge was how so many people tried to avoid the obvious design of "brown hair-pink coat", citing that that was the most common design and they wanted to be different... and yet, whenever I looked, the grand majority of CheesePie foals were actually "pink hair-orange coat", with only a couple being the other one. Even if Fudge's colors were that common, she does have her glasses and overbite (well, as a kid) to stick out, and I'm probably the first person who decided to give a CP kid Cheese's dimples.
The only one whose name is an outright Weird Al reference, and he ends up being the least Pinkie-ish or Cheese-ish. He's more like his grandparents. Funny thing, despite being a more simple, dull, and kind of grumpy personality, he does have a sweet tooth, with a particular fondness for ice cream; if there's anyone in the family who is sick of sugar, it's his big brother.
The hilarious thing about Berry these days is that post-MLP movie, this wacko is like a reverse-colored Tempest Shadow, only his horn is intact and the only reason he does explosions is that he's just so hyper. Imagine if he had gotten a mark in combat magic instead of stage magic, and Tempest ended up being the one to train him...
Is it weird that I imagine her having Toph's voice? Whatever, it's kind of fun to hear her banter with Rainbow Dash with that voice. In other news, I imagine that as an adult in the Wonderbolts, she simply goes by "Chase", because Cheesecake certainly doesn't sound like a Wonderbolt name. She's never called that at home; it'd get confused with "Cheese" too easily, so, she simply remains "C.C." to her family.
It was at this point that I realized that I gave all the pink kids Cheese's dimples. Oh, well, they're used to mark them as Cheese's kids even when the colors would make people uncertain (one thing I hate in CheesePie NextGens is when they look like a slightly off-color Pinkie, with little indication that Cheese is their father (aside from the occasion green eyes)). I've had to tweak her hair color quite a bit until it was a shade of peach that looked at least decent.
But anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed!
It's entirely possible that Tempest goes into pyrotechnics as a peacetime occupation, to say nothing of the level of hoof dexterity she'd need to master. This might happen anyway.
Darn it, now I'm imagining a Tempest/Trixie rivalry. Keep the rainclouds on standby...

I could totally see that happening.
And a happy Pinkie Pride day to you as well!
5006276 I feel like Trixie has about a half-dozen rivalries going at any given time.
These look great!
What exactly is Sugar Surprise's cutie mark? I can't quite tell, and I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be more than some blue and white sparkles...

The blue things are metal nuts.
