Hello everyone, I hope you've been well!
It has been a while since I've done a real blog post but I'm excited about this one. As you may be aware, I've been working on Secrets of a Royal Guard for about a year. The goal was to polish up the prose, include things I forgot to include, and clean up the confusing bits. That work is now complete. Add in a really thorough edit from Crystal and some help from some friends and now we've got a super tight story!
With the 2.0 version also comes a hardcover book for those that are interested. There will be two methods by which you can get one. We'll call it the 'budget' and the 'full package.'
For those that just want a book you'll be able to buy it directly on Lulu.com. It will ship directly to you.
For those that would like me to sign and personalize the book, you'll do that through the Quillnblade.com website. We'll have the software set up for that shortly. This also will be the method for Patrons that get a book discount as well.
Both methods will arrive shortly. First, however, I'm going to update the FIM Fiction version of the story. That will also allow you folks to catch any weird little mistakes that still snuck their way in. If you would be so kind, please report them in PM to me so I can get them out of the print document.
I'm thrilled to be at this place where I can share this with you all. The story changes will be happening over the next hour or so as I update every chapter and add a new one!
Some of you may be asking if this will be worth a new read or if I can just say what changed. For the first part of the question, the answer is 'I hope so!'. For the second part all I can say is 'a lot' and also 'not a lot.' The plot remains the same. How we get from A to Z now differs. Characters get more depth. There is simply more content.

Well, I guess a re reading is in order
... I just reread both Secrets and Trials while I was sick a couple of weekends ago. Since you said last night in a comment in the "new" Epilogue chapter that you added about 42,000 words to Secrets, that's gonna be an interesting re-re-read to find time for.
Also, I've had an observation/question for over a year about something major that happens in the last chapters of Trials, but has its first reference in Chapter 29 of Secrets (I didn't notice any update to that chapter last night, unless you snuck it in afterward). Considering how spoilerific it is, should I mention it in the comments for the appropriate chapter of Trials under spoiler tags, or would you prefer a PM?
