Just kidding. For now. Probably won’t set one up until I get a good flow going. Anyhow, this is just a... misc post, I guess. A good old fashioned “oh I disappeared haha better update my dwindling audience of a few dozen fap heroes.”

Anyhow, I’ve got some actually good news now, that will probably lead to more good news down the line, so I’ll stick all that under the break. You may wanna read it if you’re following Sua – it’s possibly good news for that, too, and you got tagged in this post anyhow, so you may as well follow up.

Basically, I took an extended break from FIMfiction (right after I got back on the horse, too, haha) to procrastinate on my capstone paper for several months. I don’t know what it was that was holding me down.

Maybe mental shit, though I’m hardly what my state would call a “mental defective” or anything. Maybe just a general state of ennui. But over the past week I was finally able to kick myself into actually doing the fucking thing. So I did. One of the professors in charge of the capstone class told me that it was basically theatre journal level work, minus the occasional dips into more personal reflection. I asked him if he said that to everybody, and he said no; most of what they get for capstones are crap. So that felt pretty good.

So yeah. I’m a graduate now. Kinda was before – did the song and dance and the whole cap-and-gown bullshit stuff back in May, but now I’m like, actually a graduate. It feels weird. I’m a Bachelor of the Arts in Theatre. Can’t wait to flip burgers... on STAGE, hah! As if I’d consign myself to minimum wage work my whole life when theatre majors are in demand in sales work, car dealerships and other sundry professions where one must lie or bend the truth.

What does this mean for my writing? For my pony work, in particular? Well, it means that I no longer have the long shadow of a capstone paper looming over me, which means I can go back to trying to figure out how I can retool the fourth chapter of Sua so that it goes somewhere. I don’t want the story to get stuck in the temple the whole time, but I won’t say anything more than that re; what my plans are for that particular fic. I also wanna branch out and do something that will get no traction at all – a SFW OC story about a pony with a peculiar occupation. That’ll be a fun and refreshing new thing to try, and I think you guys are actually gonna like it a lot.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Again. Holy shit. This whole “gonna update regularily” thing fell apart quick, lmao. Will try harder not to disappear for so long next time. Keep an eye out for Sua updates and new work over the coming weeks!
