That Thing Where... · 4:08pm Dec 13th, 2018
Ever have that thing where somehow or another, you know the words to a show's theme song by heart even though you've never watched a single episode of that show?
I'm having one of those right now, with this.
Damn, it's been forever since I saw anything Cutey Honey. I actually had a couple of the VHS tapes years ago.
I have never seen the original show myself. I have seen a 90s OVA. That tune is catchy as all hell.
Why settle for one when you can have them all. . .
I'm having one of those moments where someone shares a video on the internet that makes you go, "What the hell is going on? "

Cutie Honey was one of the signature series of legendary author Go Nagai, the first transforming heroine series, and effectively Japan's answer to Wonder Woman. Originating in the early 70s, it features an android girl who fights various ne'er-do-wells, and transforms into various disguises and appearances to do so. There've been a few revival series and a total of four different anime spanning three decades.
