So... folks have been asking about why the most recent chapter - soon to be chapters - are numbered as X.something. Originally, I had this grand, sweeping idea of writing chapter 18 in 8 subchapters for... reasons that will be revealed when I finally post chapter 18. However, after completing 2 of the sub-chapters, and starting a 3rd... and asking for help from my editor, Somber, and my roommate, who prereads for me and was the creator of Bubblegum... I realised I had bitten off way more than I could chew. So... in lieu of continuing to beat my head against a wall and make everyone wait... I decided to make some changes.
I promise i didn't randomly lose my mind. I just... had to make a few adjustments to the way Speak was written for those chapters to make sense. And in breaking up the new chapters into X chapters... I've been able to start flying through what is now 18. And hopefully we're going to be able to continue to get later chapters and more of the X-chapters out before the New Year!
So are the X chapters what used to be the sub-chapters of 18 or are they different ones that go between 17 and 18 or after 18? Also, would they chronological come before chapter 18 or after? I also see you just posted X.2, congrats on the speed.

X.1 takes place between 17 and 18. However... to... help me actually get this story moving again, they may end up between later chapters as kind of... flashbacks for Threnody.

Do you just mean the way it's being written and planned to be written, or do you mean you've changed or are changing some things already posted?
