So! What have I been up to? Well, that’s a good question. I’ve obviously not gotten anything finished yet to fill the hole in our hearts left by Pony Plots going on hiatus, but I am working on that. However, for right now, I’m primarily focusing on two things, both related to the time of year.
Samhain, or Halloween, All Hallow’s Eve, Nightmare Night, whatever you wanna call it, has always been special to me. I consider myself a pagan. That said, I also believe that I am entitled to believe in and worship as I please. As such, I do not follow any organized attempt at religion. If I did, the closest you might come is Discordia. For those who do not know what that is, look up the Erisian Church or the Principia Discordia, that’ll tell you everything you need to know.
I believe that all religions are man-made. Not to say the gods don’t exist, but if they do, it’s because WE made them, not the other way around. As such, all religions are equal, in my eyes. So, rather than following blindly in someone else’s traditions, I choose to pick and choose which deities I worship, which ones I pray to, and what beliefs I practice.
To me, Halloween has always been a time for all of those like myself, the freaks, weirdos and misfits to step out of the shadows and be themselves. It’s a time for the normies to put on a costume and a mask, but it’s a time for us to take ours off, without fearing the judgement of others.
As such, it has always been a HUGE part of my holiday celebrations. And so, I have set myself a challenge, and it’s quite a doozy. I’m going to write TWO stories, and try to have them done in time to be posted on Halloween night.
One will be E rated. I’ve already mentioned it, a sequel to Pinkie’s Day Off, and a fun little romp, showing that AU’s Pinkie, going through her first Nightmare Night in Ponyville. THe other, though . . .
It’s going to be a bit more on the line of something Grimdark. It will be Teen rated, but it will be a HARD Teen. Think along the lines of The Secret Life of Rarity. That kind of Teen rating. (Great story, by the way! Probably one of the most believable takes on the “Mane 6 Serial Killer” idea I’ve read, you should go check it out!)

Also, why do you feel that you need to hide behind a mask the rest of the year? I lost my mind years ago and never tried to find it. I imagine, by now, its managed to accrue quite a cavalcade of horrible Joy's and unknowable truths by now and may even be behind Trump. The live action perfomance art rendition of hamlet that is going on right now in our political hemisphere is right up his alley, Drama Whorse that he is. Or, he actually did find a way to get to that oil rig in Africa I scoped out, before he went missing and even now is building his island fortress to sit out the end of the world and then repopulate the entire planet with animal people. Using the steam powered, gear driven automation devices he stole the plans for. I imagine he would've improved on the tech by now though. <Sigh> Que Sera Sera. So, yeah let your freak flag fly. All the time and if people don't like it, then a to hell with them, there are plenty more of us than there are of them.

It can sometimes be difficult for me, due to my personal life, to feel like I can be myself all the time. But, at the same time, it is getting old, and I’m starting to give fewer and fewer fucks about wearing the mask.
Also, I’ll let you know if I run into your mind in my travails. Just in case you want an update. :)

Nah, better off I don't know about what he's up to. If he really is behind Trump, I will have to stop him and that would not go well. I mean, I don't think the country could survive two beings that know how to turn water to fire and convert people into drones, going at it hammer and tongs. Besides he was a gigantic jerk, it was a toxic relationship and Iam well rid of him. I am much happier with my special somepony. She's amazing.
