BronyCon & Updates · 1:08am Sep 16th, 2018
Good Evening,
I owe you all an explanation as to my activity over the last few months. Let's just say it's been exhausting. I managed to take a week of leave and attend BronyCon (more on that later), but in the bargain with my boss I had to accept a long, grueling TDY. And when I returned to the office, my co-workers hadn't picked up the slack in my absence, meaning I had to do six weeks of work in two. It wasn't pretty, but I finally finished those projects and have them off my plate. So, I have some much needed downtime allowing me to get caught up on everything else (working out, cleaning, writing, etc.).
The worst part of the past few weeks has been the drop in my writing. I know that it looks like I'm always on the site, but really it's only been to check for emails and to add stories to my "Read It Later" folder. While at BronyCon I did sign up for the "Them's Writing Words" contest, so over a few hours I managed to write Timeless. I spent much less time for it than I would of liked, but the reception has been good.
Now to the last week of July. I visited friends in the area before attending BronyCon. I also managed to hit a few sites:
Fort Stevens in Washington, DC. President Abraham Lincoln came under Confederate fire here on July 12th, 1864.
The USS Constellation, the last pure sailing ship built for the US Navy.
And BronyCon was a blast. There were great panels, great guests, and great events:
And there's still one more BronyCon to go.
In regards to my writing, I'm working on a variety of projects. I'm writing the last chapter of The Labors of Applejack and a sequel to Rainbow Dash Comes Out of the Closet. And I wasn't happy with how my work on the sequel to The Secret Life of... Scootaloo, so I'm starting over. Finally, I'm publishing When Worlds Collide. My experience with Timeless was that I need to make my writing more efficient and timely. So I'm using this story as a vehicle to improve my speed on stories. I plan to write chapters quickly and publish them quickly. We'll see how this experiment turns out.
Well, that's it for now. Be sure to check back as I publish new material.
Keep Writing,
Dreadnought

That last little bit... Well played. Also sounds like you need better shipmates.
