...but too much is falling in mine.
Hey folks. I have a bit of news on the writing front, while I have utterly and completely failed to rebuild a buffer, I do have a chapter around 75% complete and will be sending that around to my usual suspects to check if I have made any particularly idiot mistakes before you fine folks have to point and laugh at me. I am getting back into the swing of things and having fun writing again.
The personal front... is less great. My wife and I are having a hell of a time with her health. Specifically we put her on a new drug for migraines called Topamax, and after a few weeks instead of getting better it made her moderately severe pain into 'ice pick headaches' which became so acute she actually passed out from them. We took her off the drug (mistake, when you are experiencing a bad reaction consult your doctor at the very least if you don't go to the emergency room. Apparently weaning her off would have been much better, because withdrawal from the drug is causing her nearly as much pain as being on it did) and she is improving, but in the meantime she's missed several weeks of work and unfortunately we had no sick time built up.
What I am trying to say is... if anyone can help, we're trying to scrounge rent together, come up with a bit to live on (we're past our mid-month bills but rent is our major expense every month, and then we have to eat somehow), and then there's going to be the added expense of xrays and a neurologist visit coming up that we don't have money saved for.
I have my paypal set up if anyone wishes to send that way. I also started a gofundme for my wife. I firmly believe we'll be fine soon, but right now we're taking on water and I can't let stubborn pride keep me from sending up flares for help.
tldr: Steel will have a chapter out soon.
