A change to the update schedule · 9:29pm Aug 24th, 2018

Hello, all. Just a heads up that after my normal posting this Sunday (8/26), I will be skipping one weekend. The next update after Sunday will be 9/9. This is partially due to the Labor Day holiday weekend, but I also discovered I'm not happy with the way some scenes are arranged in upcoming chapters that I have done in draft format and want some time to reorganize them.

I will also include an author's note with this Sunday's update as a reminder. Thank you all who have been following the story and who have left comments. Votes are nice, but comments are much better.

EDIT: Corrected Sunday's posting date

I understand. Just dealt with that same issue and wasn't completely happy with what I had to do for a quick fix. I'll be disappointed not seeing an update that weekend though.

And agree comments are definitely better than likes. It shows the author people are invested and gives the author a better 'read' on their audience.

i would rather you fix things now than have it be a problem later.

The changes have mostly to do with chapter focus. When I look back on the first few chapters of the story, I can see where some chapters were more focused and others a little more scattered. Some of it was because I needed to introduce the characters and subplots, but there may be some room for improvement.

In fact, I'm even reorganizing the chapter I'm posting tomorrow. I originally had a Tom and Theresa scene planned for it, but on re-reading the chapter, I realized it felt plopped in there just for the sake of revisiting the characters. While the scene itself is fine, it needs to be grouped with other scenes that make more sense to be in the same chapter together. It risks readers asking "why aren't we seeing these characters again yet" but I feel it will make for a better overall narrative.
