    IN WHICH HAPPY BOXING DAY!
I meant to post while it was still Christmas (CST) but as usual I’m late. I hope my few remaining readers had a lovely holiday! Here’s a song that’s been in my head lately.

Chuu is one of those who, according to her coworkers, really is just a ball of sunshine. Follow me past the jump.

    IN WHICH I LACK BURRITOS
No, really. I haven’t been by my local burrito place in a long time, partly due to my mother, so I haven’t been able to get good inspiration for another Burritoverse story. Sorry. For now, enjoy my favorite J-Pop group NiziU.

    IN WHICH SCREW DEADLINES
Hey, y’all. Been a few months. Whoever reads this, just wanted to show I’m not dead yet. Do you know NMIXX? You should.

Right. Now, where was I? Oh, I’m sure I’ll figure it out below the jump.

IN WHICH I LIED TO YOU (SORRY)
So… Turns out it's been a full year (!) since my last story. I promised a couple stories in between but failed to finish them. But at least I got my annual Mayor Mare story in. Have some Twice as penance.

More past the jump, if you're willing.

IN WHICH I LIVE… SORT OF
Hi. Been awhile. Not sure who's left to read this. I just now realized I accidentally added an "L" on my last 3 posts. Oops. Well, enjoy Sir Elton.

So, after fixing my screw-up, let's get to the meat of why I'm writing, if you'll pass the jump with me.

IN WHICH I DO EVERYTHING BUT WRITE
As I promised… Enjoy! I sure am!

Now, on to news. Or something to that effect.

Every day, I open my Sonata story and stare at it, trying to figure out how to write the ending, but nothing comes out. I hate being stuck like this. Maybe I should just write something shit and then try to polish that turd. I went to the real-life inspiration for the Burrito Barn today not necessarily to jog my creativity but because I hadn't eaten for most of the day and I wanted a fucking quesadilla damn it!

The reason for that is that I had a dentist appointment today, and I never eat before those for obvious reasons.

Last week, at my mother's urging (because she didn't want to do it by herself), I signed up for a membership at the 24hr gym down the street from my home. It's a nice place. Not quite as nice as the previous gym I was a member of until shortly before my ex dumped me -- that place has since closed -- but still decent for the price I suppose. And I can go in the middle of the night.

The problem is that doing gym stuff doesn't get my creative juices the same way a walk through the park does. Maybe it's because of all the stimuli at a gym, or that I'm actually thinking about exercising, or that since there are other people there I can't jabber to myself like a nutter, which is how most of my ideas happen (unless Posh inspires them instead).

Speaking of my writing colleague and unintentional muse, I fulfilled my promise to him and wrote a story based on one of his offhand comments again. It's ready to go as soon as I tweak it to get it to an even number of words. BUT, I want to get this Sonata story out first, because I feel like it's been so damn long since I've done anything in the Burritoverse, even though, like the last Burrito story (Sci-Twi), this one isn't in chronological order either -- it takes place before Maud's story.

At least when other authors have delays, it's for multi-thousand word epic stories, not short slice-of-life vignettes where a girl gets a job at a burrito restaurant. Ugh, I hate myself sometimes.

I had to tell two of my followers (one of whom is likely to be an ex-follower soon), to stop fighting in the comments of my latest Orangeglow story. When they didn't get the hint, I started deleting comments, which I know looks bad for me, but I don't want my comments section to deteriorate like a facebook feed. Yes, I'm biased -- I'm loony and a leftist, but not a loony-leftist, if that makes sense (I have a degree in Government, meaning it's my duty to see the grey areas and consider arguments). Plus, this may be Knighty's site, but I consider the comments section to my story to be MY domain, and I can only take so much.

Even with the fighting, I have zero desire to stop writing about the misadventures of Orangeglow. Next time will probably go into WHY no one wants Twilight to meet with him. Both versions of Twilight are apolitical, but I've stated outright that Sci-Twi's parents and Rarity's in the EQG-verse liked him (and then he died).

The interesting case is Granny Smith (the pony), as always. Officially, she supports him to the hilt because the rest of her clan except Apple Bloom do, but there's a lot more to the old green mare that I look forward to sharing with you.

In the meantime, my coffee is cooling and I think I'll try to get something done. I have no idea what. Maybe think about what insanity I should write for Post Three Hundred? I don't know.

EDIT: I've written most of the sexy-time story for Blog Three Hundred. I'm very pleased with this one. I hope y'all will enjoy it once I post it!

Peace out!

Ughhhhh the idea anyone supports Orangelow fills me with so much dread.

Try not to hate yourself too much. We're in this together and I'm having the hardest time writing too. :( I've just been roleplaying a bunch lately. Good news is I'll probably have another chapter for Intimate Paradise soon. Probably not something well liked, but who gives a fuck at this point it's not like many people read it to begin with. At least according to the complete lack of comments.

Good songs too.

I’m hoping to get some stories out soonish myself, one of which is super short despite having been in the works for about a year and a half. :raritydespair:

Do you know how long it took me to write that Dazzlings story where most of the dialog is song lyrics? MONTHS. And it's less than 1,600 words. The problem was finding the right lyrics.

Incidentally, thanks to changes in how this site calculates word-count, I'm going to have to go back and tweak several of my older stories to get their word-counts back to what they should be. At least I don't have that many stories published, so it hopefully won't take too long, but it's something I need to do to satisfy my OCD.
