Yes, it's a repost—again.

A few weeks ago, under circumstances I can no longer remember, I ran into the Convention Planning group, "A place to plan for conventions that haven't happened yet." After joining, I took it upon myself to set up a few of the big ones for July, hoping to get FIMFic users together so they can put a human face behind the avatars.

Okay, that's somewhat of a lie: I wanted to play around with the newish BBCode features and try to make something that looked cool. I think that worked out better than trying to get people to indicate if they are going. The problem is, since the threads are in a group, only members are notified, which is far less than one hundred at the moment.

Threads also lack tags. :ajbemused:

Therefore, expect posts like this in the near future, including a few non-pony ones. I'll endeavor not to annoy.

Oh, almost forgot: yes, I'll be at TrotCon on Friday and Saturday. Look for a short, bearded, old dude with unruly hair—not unlike his avatar, but far less cute.

P.S.—I also want to reasonable way to add non-breaking spaces in bbcode. What looked fine in the group post looks terrible as a blog.

You'd best attend my room party!

:unsuresweetie: okay...
Fair warning: I'm not the bestest party person, but I'll try.

Also, I'll be leaving late Saturday night so I can make another event on Sunday with a bunch of nerdy coworkers. Next week I'll post the info to Convention Planning.
