I have a feeling that I'll put this off until later in the year (I've got existing projects I want to finish, after all) and then forget about it entirely. I've found it's really hard to generate enthusiasm about contests without a looming deadline cranking up the interest. <.<

I’d be in the same boat given this much time, to be honest. I’ll be making follow-up posts closer to crunch time for that very reason, probably starting around the 30 day mark.
I'm definitely in on this. But I may be moving soon so might not get it done until closer to deadline. Gonna try for a longer story this time rather than a one shot, but not too long; want to make sure its all done by deadline. Hopefully the criteria won't be too much on the cover photo as I sadly do not have an ideal pic in mind. I got some feelers but their not perfect and can't draw or afford commissions.
