What bugs me. · 4:16pm Jun 10th, 2018
Not once, but several times before, I have encountered anti-Mormon propaganda and the people that push it. Now, my faith wasn't challenged by their outspokenness; it takes more than a person who isn't from my faith telling me what I believe to make me change my opinion on my identity. But the problem is, they were redefining a part of who I was. They changed my public image to other people who hadn't heard about me before, who had partaken in the anti-Mormon pamphlets and had read the lies denouncing my identity.
Instead of feeling sad or disheartened, I felt furious. I wanted to pick out a pamphlet and send it back with my own personal corrections of their misjudgments about me. But not every dream is a reality, and that particular one was a bad one to have.
We must all love one another, and respect the choices they make to believe whatever they will. But if I am denied the right to define my own beliefs, like other people have the rights for, and my spoken beliefs are drowned beneath other people who aren't Mormon who say, "No, that isn't what you believe. This is what you believe," then I feel like I am left worthless in trying to show the world in who I truly am.
Don’t let it get to you, hon. I don’t go to church or such but I know more than enough people of devout faith to know those propaganda pamphlets you’re talking about are a bunch of hooey. *hugs*
Terribly sorry that feel like this Brady. *hugs*
If I may ask,
What is it that you believe in concerning Jesus?

I believe that Jesus came to Earth, was the literal son of God, suffered for our sins on the cross and in Gethsemane, and was really resurrected with a body of flesh and blood. Through him, we can repent and become clean of our sins through prayer, become resurrected with a perfect, immortal body when He comes the second time to Earth, and ascend to a glorious afterlife in the presence of God.
Now, with that said, some people still insist that Mormons aren't Christians. To that, I say: our name is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we possess a book of scripture other Christians don't that literally mentions the name of Christ on every page, and we offer up our prayers in the name of Jesus Christ. Now, if that ain't Christian, Ah don't know what is!

That’s all I wanted to know.
I believe in the exact thing you believe in, and my heart goes completely to Jesus. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit who came to earth to rescue all of humanity from eternal death.
I just wanted to...well, I just wanted to know.

Well, I believe that everyone in the Trinity is three separate beings. God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost are three totally different people.
But aside from that, I'm good with you as well.
Hello, hello
Look...it all stems from one simple thing:
People whom are of faith, and believe that their faith is the objectively correct faith: that means that people are prone the feel that other faiths are wrong.
This idea of "I'm right so you must be wrong" also pops up when the difference is just denomination or even if same denomination but different church.
It's petty, it can be annoying, but it's part of being human. Don't let it get to you.
Blessed be
This is one of the reasons I like you so much, you're incredibly accepting of the beliefs of others and are just nice overall, you're filled with fantastic character traits that all add up to the amazing person you are. Thank you.
