Moth Plays Dragonball Xenoverse 2, Episode 15: Learning From The Masters! Coccinelle's Instructor Training! · 8:46pm Apr 29th, 2018

Welcome back!

Previously: The Time Patrol broke up an attempt to disrupt history involving the Big Gheti Star and a swarm of Metal Coolers showing up during the climax of the Cell Games.

Episode 15: Learning From The Masters! Coccinelle's Instructor Training!

In this episode, we're going to look at XV2's Instructor Training system. Throughout Conton City, DBZ characters (and later GT and Super characters) will train you and teach you skills. Each instructor has four lessons, so you can learn up to four skills from each one. Today, Coccinelle will be taking lessons with Zarbon, Frieza, Android 18, and Cell. After that, we'll finish things off with the brutal initiation battle against Zamasu and Goku Black!

What's going to happen next?

Find out next time, on Moth Plays Dragonball Xenoverse 2!

See ya next fight!

This video was originally also going to have Dodoria and Ginyu's instructor training, but they had to be cut for time. I cut them because they had the weakest, most useless skills and because this video already had ENOUGH battles against the entire Ginyu Force in it.

Even though you only have to clear each instructor's training once to unlock the skill for every character you make, I'm doing every instructor with every character because (a) I'm OCD that way, (b) it's good experience farming, and (c) each time you clear an instructor's course, that's 4 TP medals you earn total.

Plus, it's fun to try all the different moves and see how well they might mesh with each character's moveset. You can find surprisingly useful moves in the movesets of characters you weren't expecting. I gave Pinkie Pie two of Zarbon's moves after testing them out once (Audacious Laugh and Bloody Counter) and replaced one of Midnight Sparkle's ki blast supers with Death Slicer because it just works on her.

Sometimes, though, the aggravation is NOT worth it. Cooler's training is hellish, especially the battle with a horde of Metal Coolers, and the moves you learn from him are honestly complete bullshit. Zamasu's training comes with a rehash of Elder Kai's combo timing training, making it impossible to unlock his super moves for your own use unless you're good at all that Street Fighter bullshit that I'm not good at.

Now to be fair, for the most part you're right. Fake Blast is just a worse Dragon Burn, which you can get from a PQ, Feint Crash is just weak, Shadow Crusher is cool and if you use it on a beam Ultimate, you can break their stamina, but the Supernova Cooler hits really freaking hard and is a GODSEND in certain Expert Missions/PQs.
