    Revised Harmony Spirits

I wanted a full set of these with proper art, so with permissions from mauroz, here they are. A couple effects have been tweaked to be consistent with modern vernacular in the card game and for my own better understanding of card design and balancing, and I also added a new "Tier 1.5" form for Twilight so she can have her own Fusion outside the ace monster, and finally added Sunset as a

What you will NOT find below the break

- Who lives and who dies
- If Thanos gets all the Stones or not
- The ending
- The post-credits scene

So with those worries aside, let's discuss.

This was good. It's biggest weakness is that it obviously is a two-part movie in how the ending is structured. It completes the film's story in a sense of finality, but you know there's a second part to this adventure. But the ride there was fun.

This is not a curb stomp battle for Thanos, assauging my greatest fears that this movie would be a two hour long bout of the heroes hitting Thanos and doing nothing as he walks through them to get the Infinity Stones. No, they get their shots in and they get them good. Thanos has to work for his prizes.

Thanos... you can tell the writers really, really wanted to make the guy they've spent the entire MCU building up to be worth the payoff. And he doesn't meet the mark, but I doubt they could with anyone. As he is alone, he is a good bad guy, he's powerful and he's motivated, he gets to take center stage and fills the role well. They succeed in humanizing him. He isn't some hulking generic evil villain out to destroy shit for the sake of destroying shit. You get the sense in his own twisted, mad way, he really think he's doing the right thing, and in time the universe will be grateful to him and be better off for what he's done. And then you see evidence that just maybe he isn't completely wrong.

The Children of Thanos are meh, they are what they avoided making Thanos. None of them are named on-screen, which is for the best because their names are rather stupid. You can call them Sorceror, Brute, Spear Guy, and Staff Chick, for all it matters. Sorceror is the coolest of them, getting good action scenes and more time to develop a personality. The rest? I don't think Spear Guy and Brute even get dialogue. Staff Chick gets a couple lines but nothing significant. These guys are basically just here to give the heroes on Earth someone to fight while Thanos is off getting the other stones across the universe, and aside from Sorceror you never get the sense they're anything important or impressive. Ditto for Thanos' new army. It would have been nice to see the Chitauri back and handwave Thanos got more of them, or the force we saw in Avengers was just part of the main army, but no.

As for who dies - I mentioned I won't say who dies. But man, there are deaths in this movie. This movie is not shy about killing its characters when its called for. But it usually feels earned. When someone dies it feels important and it has impact. Again, the heroes give Thanos a run for his money, they aren't just red shirts here to die. My only disappointment is when a particular character appears on-screen. I won't say who, but I will say it's someone most fans have probably written off long ago as never appearing again, but they do. And it was cool to see them back and an interesting and unexpected way they do it. But they also recast the character which was disappointing, but a minor nitpick since the new actor did fine.

When it comes to juggling plot points, yeah they do, but the movie mostly handles it well. The groups meet up and split off in logical progression with events and nothing feels too jarring in tone or focus. It makes sense the characters would go here or do this when they do it. The only time I raised an eyebrow at things is when SPOILER CHARACTER arrives for the final battle due to SPOILER PLOT DEVICE, and I thought to myself "how did they do that, and how did they know they could do that? Why didn't they do that before to get somewhere if they knew they could do that?" But it's a minor nitpick because the ensuing asskicking is glorious.

So overall, movie is good. Thanos is cool and well-developed, action is good, heroes are good, story is vast and complex but flows simply enough. And the movie doesn't feel too long, just over two hours. I now eagerly await Part 2.

This movie is amazing and for anyone worried about the cliffhanger it's basically like the end of Empire, leaves you wanting more but doesn't piss you off with a "To be continued". With that returning character being recast, I'm not surprised since I remember years ago the actor saying he would never reprise that role.

I'm assuming your talking about Thor using the Bitfrost, it is mentioned briefly that Stormbreaker would allow him to use it so it wasn't something he could just do whenever.

Okay, I missed that part then.

Wait, who got recast? c.c

I think the ending of the movie was spot-on, considering it's a two part-movie.
Actually, I think it's a valid MCU movie on its own.
My major complaint is that almost all the deaths happen at the same time.
Also, the post-credit scene.
Blue balled for I-don't-know-how-many movies for his return, and he does nothing that bad motherfucker.
