The rumors of my death have been greatly exagerated.
Ive mosty not been on FiMFiction do to the fact i haven't really been in the mood to read do to working and such taking alot of time resuting in me just wanting to relax and watch youtube do to difficulty sleeping, a by product of the situation im in as talked bout in a previous bog that hasnt been resolved.
Been also dealing with the fact my tablet (The device i write on) charger has died so ive been having to borrow one randomly which means i cant keep it charged.
now i want to be clear about the state of affairs.
I'll be honest......i have lost all drive to write for the current set of fics. i open up what little i have written and just stare at it. my motivation is dead for them for the msot part.
i am able to force myself to write but it feels like a chore and that is not why i write. i write because i enjoy it and its fun to me, i find it relaxing.
it feeling like a chore gives me none of what i like about writing. It also means i am not writing at my 100% best which means what i would be producing would be of significaly lower quaity in terms of storytelling then what i normaly do. (lets face it, my actual mechanical part of writing is in the toilet) and i am not sure that would be fair to any of you readers if i just throw something out that isn't my best without talking about it first.
there are scences i wish to write for The Soldier and The Empress, the issue is i need to reach those points in the story so i have to write what happens in between and what happens in between holds no intrest to me.
Soldiers of Hope i have more or less planned out, just lack the motivtion to write it.
Scorched by Fate more or less same thing, have a lot planned out but lack drive.
Now for the rest of the news. I do have the drive to write for the next book in the Soldier Series and have been writing chapters randomly for it. but as you might guess i sort of need to finish the current book before i get that one in full working order.
So then a question for you readers.
What should i do?
Shoud i try to get all the chapters needed for SaE
or
Should i somewhat rush its story and finish it as a short story simile to The Soldier and The Unexpected?
I need help in decidng this as whatever i do i know will have major cons in both cases.

do what I do. Go in a cycle or do one that you are just in the mood to do.
Honestly, I can't expect either of these outcomes to be good, but a shitty end is still more enjoyable than no end. At least that's my opinion. I get that motivation is hard to find, but I wouldn't mind doing another read through if you manage to cobble together at least a "meh" level conclusion to the stories.
I’d say start on the next story, but maybe just give some details on how this story would have finished so we aren’t completely lost.

If I'm being 100% honest, I'd just be glad to have any kind of story at this point. I've run through practically all of the badass/dark Twi centric fics on the site (or at least that's how I feel) and have resorted to writing my own. That's not to say I don't enjoy it, but I would like another one to read.
Having said that though, there are a couple of those fics that have come out recently, but the Soldier series is still top tier stuff. If you lost motivation don't try to force it, you're not a professional writer on a deadline. If you found motivation on another story, work on it, that way if you do decide to say 'screw it I'm done' on the old story then you'll at least have something else to put out.
Why are you pressuring yourself

Go and take a break or write someting absolutely diferent to wat you are used to write
Somethin like "cupkakes" to "how to pren your chicken" level of difference

That's what I was doing. It didn't work as I lost motivation in the three fics I have going. So it's either start an entirely new fic or remain as it stands.
Then you are more like a daydreaming type of writer
Maibe then trying other thing
The genre of music that you hear, the movies that you see, the tipe of book and fics that you read
Belibe me sometimes read/see/write a strange or unfamiliar thing will change your perspective and relase your imagination
Though one, On the one hand I want new chapters but on the other hand I would hate to see the story rushed. So I would vote for put it on hold and write thing whit more fertile motivation, and return to the Soldier and Scorched by Fate series when your motivation is less barren. Perhaps you only need a new charger for your tablet to get back in the 'groef' of writhing. ( I know how irritating it is to have bad equipment)

i dont have a set type of tings i read, watch, listen to and pretty much whatever interests me. i dont really have favorites on things persay. the only thing i could change would be doing things i absolutly despise which would just annoy me.

issue is what i want to write is the next book in the series.
ill think on something else to write though, have a few ideas i can poke around with.
I suggest you take your time and don't rush things otherwise the story will result in something none want to read and isn't something the author himself likes
