Next Pokémon Eclipse Chapter Update · 12:57pm Mar 10th, 2018
Hey everyone, I realize I haven't published a new chapter in quite a while, and I'll get into the bad reasons first (and there is a good reason for the delay).
First off, as of this morning, I am going to be euthanizing my cat that I've had since 2nd grade. He had a couple health scares over the holidays last year including a ruptured impacted anal gland and bloody pees, both of which were quickly stopped with antibiotics. A few weeks later, he had a massive vomiting fit that almost completely robbed him of his appetite. I even came close to putting him down last month when he showed no signs of getting better, but he slowly began eating again and it seemed he'd rebound, but since the start of the week, he hasn't been eating a thing and he's just become so lethargic and weak that he can't walk straight or keep his urine in. So, yeah, this week in particular has been super rough and will end on a really low note.
Also, I've been having some health concerns of my own. I've been developing symptoms of carpal tunnel and despite my brushing and flossing like crazy, my gums have really been hurting as of late. And with the fact that I'm 26 and am no longer on my parents' awesome insurance (though am on a high-deductible plan through my work), any bills I get to fix my wrist or my mouth are going to be rather steep, and thinking about that, along with losing my cat, has made wanting to write feel like a chore.
On the other hand, I did manage to complete the next chapter, and one of the other reasons for this delay is because it's the longest yet in the story, nearly 14k words in length. I still need to edit it, and it's going to take quite a bit of time considering its length, but for today, I'm going to be too emotionally flooded to want to focus on anything other than mourning the loss of my cat.

I just noticed the Hiatus marking, Are you not going to continue Pokémon Eclipse or are you just waiting for the Sequel?f
4859570 Nah, this is just what I do when I finish an arc. I put the story on hiatus so I can take time to write the outline for the next arc, and once the outline’s completed, I turn the outline into chapters, during which I take it off hiatus and put it back at incomplete.
