Five Stars Revamp complete, TLaTU on deck... · 4:38pm Mar 6th, 2018
Did you know Five Stars has a political party on Earth? It's true! https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-02-25/five-star-leader-may-seek-grand-coalition-for-italy-government And how appropriate she'd be the impetus behind an Italian populist party seeking to shake up the status quo...
The Five Star Service chapter rewrites are completed and in my not-so-humble view, now nearly perfect; exactly what they should have been. I'm very happy with the way the two revamped chapters (part 26 and part 27) came out, and my prereading crew of AJ_Aficionado, Silentwoodfire and Denim_Blue deserves credit for going over them with a microscope and making a lot of good points and suggestions, but seriously folks, I'd like to hear some reader opinions. Reads on the relaunched chapters have been anemic, and comments nearly nonexistent.
But that's okay. I fixed them, and now feel a hell of a lot better about them. I'll be moving back to TLaTU now, to finish off the final two chapters of that story. And after that? I have another medical procedure scheduled, this one to fix a rather painful bunion on my right little toe. Unfortunately, that involves breaking the bone and resetting it, which will lay me up for some time. But that also means I'll have some down time to write... but what?
Actually, I'm going to do two things: first, I'm going to be creating some new battle maps and graphics for the Firefly stories, and I am FINALLY returning to working on my second novel in the Dominion Academy series, which has languished for years now. I will also still be working on updating new Turnabout Storm chapters from time to time. Three more are on the way there, updating the story through Phoenix's encounter with Rarity.
Give me liberty or give me Kek!
I see Italy leaving the block over this. Austria is highly vulnerable as well. While it's sad Poland will likely never leave thanks to the presence of a hungry Russian bear nearby, it has shown itself highly capable of resisting the EU's efforts to poz it all up with hostile third-word immigration and anti-nationalist George Soros propaganda. Parts of Europe show promise but the absolute state of Europe's nuclear powers, France and the UK, and their willingness to lay down and die is a major black pill to swallow for those who wish to see Europe remain free.
The industrial and monetary heart and soul on that wicked bloc is Germany and only there can a lasting victory over globalism be made in Europe.
I hope they don't win, honestly, because I want to see the EU overcome all this go-it-alone sentiment and become stronger and better. But if the choice is Five Star or Berlusconi's coalition, then I'd rather Five Stars. It's potentially even messier than the U.S. election, and that's... scary.
A political party run by a curse-flinging comedian. Oh Italy, you truly are a magic land.
