The Wandering Bard

"I am a singer, a poet, a musician, a storyteller. I am a bard at heart. That is who I am. That is what I shall always be." (Icon by atokota on FurAffinity)

    Some OC Questions

Hey, all! This is a meme by gilgamemesh I've seen around Tumblr, and since I haven't gotten any asks about it there, I thought I'd post it here! Here's how it works: pick a number or multiple numbers from the list, post it/them in the comments, and in about a week or so (depending on how many asks I get), I'll post a follow-up blog about it! And if two people ask about the same number, that's

Story Discussion: The Story of the Stars · 8:15pm Feb 24th, 2018

Greetings, all!

I want to thank everyone who asked questions in the first round of the character discussion. There were some wonderful questions and quite a few of them, so I feel that it was a rousing success! And since it has been a while, I think it's time to start a new round of discussion!

The Story of the Stars was my very first Lyric story and was the story that birthed Lyric herself, and, as such, it is very near and dear to my heart. What you see on the site is the second version of the story, as I lost the first version long ago.

So, if you have any questions about it, then please feel free to ask away!

Cheers!

I always wondered, what gave Lyric the 'drive' to travel, and leave her sister and family at home. She goes far and wide, coming across tales no pony would hear if it wasn't for her.

Indeed she does, for travels and stories are some of her great passions and joys.

But to answer your question, Lyric's parents would tell her and her sister tales of great adventures and grand explorers which fueled a young Lyric's mind. She wanted to be just like them someday! However, when she set out for the first time, it was due to a misguided attempt to prove herself as her heart had been poisoned by her desires to become a great musician and play for Princess Celestia. Once she saw the error of her ways, she did return home for a while, partly to continue her studies of music, and partly to mend ties with her family. When she set out again, it was her way of finding herself once more and rebuilding her confidence, as well as sharing her music and stories with those she met. And now, she continues to travel for the thrill of travelling, to discover new songs and tales, to share the songs and tales she knows, to see new places, and to make new friends.

I hope that answers your question! Thank you for asking!

Ah, so deep within it was her sense of proving herself that send her along that path. Reading her tales would not hint towards that idea.:moustache:

Thanks, it did answer my question.:yay:

Most would not give that idea because she has learned from and moved on from her past. She has grown into a stronger pony for it, carrying the lessons that she learned with her. However, if you read Music of the Heart, you will see the sordid past play out, and you will see her rebuilding her confidence and becoming the pony she is today in From Finner.

I do have read Music of the Hearth, but I saw that it was two years ago already... Jeez... two years. My mistake on that part, apologies.:ajsleepy:

Where's the time gone?

Nothing to apologize for, my friend! It’s easy to forget some things as time goes on.
