    Sonata Fic Updated

We're getting very close to the best chapter, folks, very close indeed!

    So. The news broke.

    https://www.equestriadaily.com/2019/02/season-9-confirmed-to-be-final-season.html

I guess we had a good run, right?

Personally, the saddest thing is we won't see Tempest Shadow again. I was kinda hoping she'd return for the next movie, unless they somehow squeeze her in for an episode.

    Sonata Fic: An Early Release!?

To celerate Valentine's Day (or the last five minutes of it, according to my GMT Timezone) I thought I'd release the first few chapters of the Sonata Fic that I was working on, just to show that I'm still kicking, and to give those interested something to read post-Valentine's.

More of it to come in the coming weeks!

    Cheers,
    Crowley

I've seen a couple other writers try this, so I might as well throw my hat into the ring too!

Gimme questions!

What are you planning to write next?

Which pone would you snuggle with and why? You must answer in a 2 paragraph, five sentences in each paragraph reply. :trollestia:

Dan

Sexiest voice; Rara, Fizzlepop or Swedish Spitfire?

D'oh! The first question! I was hoping to keep it a secret too!
Okay, I'll meet you half-way and give you a buncha clues;

1. It's a new fic with a new romantic partner, not a (direct) sequel to anything.
2, It's a new "you" character too... but you HAVE seen this "you" character through another "you"s eyes.
3. It crosses over with a recently completed fic.
4. You aren't a pony in it. Your romantic partner, however, is.
5. Your romantic partner is related to one of the Mane Six.

I'd rather keep a lid on the details for now... but let's see how well you and the other readers do in figuring it out! :P

Come on, Abyss. That's not an easy question! If pressed, I'd probably jump on the Tempest Shadow bandwagon though. Why? She looks like she needs it the most.

I'd imagine that her time under the Storm King has left her afraid of opening up as an individual. I wouldn't just "snuggle" with her, but probably go through a whole mending process with that mare. She's the perfect mix between "takes care of herself" and "still needs someone to give her love" on a whole other level. Plus, she has the physical build of a princess, with none of the daintiness. I hope the more noise the fandom makes for her, the more likely she'll return in the series!

Obviously you're cultured enough to know the majesty of Tempest, so no need to ask you about that.

-Why do you write in 2nd person? I know 1st is a royal pain in the ass, but 3rd person is such a common writing style, what compelled you to tackle 2nd, and why do you like 2nd person writing?

-Are there any stories of yours that never saw the light of day? What kind of stuff did you scrap, and why? I know most artists have some old stuff that never made it past the editing room.

-I'm absolutely enamored by all the romance fics you write, 'cause that's the shit. But, what's it like to write mostly clopfics? (I hesitate with that term because it sounds degrading to the quality work that you do, but for ease's sake, I'm referring to your excellent rom fics with sexual elements as clopfics.) How did you come to decide that you wanted to feature that in your romance stories? What was it like to write your first few fics and have clop in them? And what's your experience been as an author with includes clop?

4729319
- To be honest, my first experience in writing 2nd person was from seeing a few images from the original, ancient site of Ponychan back in late 2011/early 2012, when the brony thing was just starting to kick off. I believe this was one of the earliest ones that are still around. It was short, simple fics set in the second person, being shared around as images, so I decided to give it a shot. I made a brief text that eventually became the sensual scene in Desire and Deep Water. Then I made the Spreading Your Wings and Hers fic, and started sharing that around. Then I made another, and so on. I eventually realised that I was in too deep to start changing things around from the "style" that I'd fallen into. And so it just stuck with me.

- I've had quite a few things come and go by virtue of just having better ideas to replace them. I remember a sub-plot in my Applejack fic where you, as a human, nearly get stampeded to death by the local cows by accidentally letting slip most humans' affinity for eating beefburgers (and another part where you're drinking cow milk and, realising that cow can talk in Equestria, you get creeped out by it). To be honest, if I ever do leave something out of a fic, it's because it either detracts from the main romantic partner (neither cow nor milk scenes had Applejack front and centre), or it just didn't fit the mood for the fic. It's important not to look sight on what's important in these fics: "you" may be a main character, but so is the romance partner you're paired with!

- Sometimes, I feel that writing the actual sensual scenes can get a bit repetitive (there's only so many ways you can describe someone/somepony being sexually aroused and/or climaxing). This is probably why I add such an adventure or story with each clopfic. It gives context, making the scene worthwhile once it finally pays off. As for how I came to deciding it, it's mostly due to my point in the first part of this comment (the mini-sensual fics) that I wanted to try out, and eventually I found myself with about 2,000 followers just by sticking with it! While I'm a firm believer in "don't fix what ain't broke", I still like to experiment with some fics, however; Apple Bloom's and Granny Smith's non-sexual fics were just that - experiments. Some more than others. In regards to my experience, I'd say it's mostly been positive. You can't really read my fics without having the Mature filter on, so everyone who sees my fics are the kind of readers who WANT to see them, so I've had no major problems with that! Touch wood.

A lot of artists seem to give Fizzlepop Fizzy's cutie mark, since we never see her actual one in the movie. They share a similar color scheme and name too, so you never know.

What RL authors have inspired you the most, either in your writing or what you like to read most, or both? (I know some fanfic authors who read professional fiction all the time, and some who barely read any, and I'm not sure which camp you fall into.)

Which is better, chicken or bacon?

4729417
Well, when I was a kid, I had the usual Harry Potter stuff going on, but what affected me most was Jonathan Stroud's Bartimaeus trilogy, which kind-of Harry Potter, but much grittier, and instead of magic wands and casting spells, wizards summoned demons instead. Great fun, especially since the books were occasionally taken from the point of view of a demon! I also did some Eragon, which didn't have any last effect, sadly. Nowadays I still read too; I've gotten into a series called Rivers of London, which is basically British crime drama... with ghosts, murderous spirits and gods thrown in. A bit of a mixed bag, really.

4729424
Now chicken is one of my favourites when it's crispy KFC style, or as chicken nuggets, you know, all the unhealthy ways to eat chicken! But then again, there's nothing quite like a bacon sandwich on soft white bread with brown sauce. Best thing to wake up to. In short; bacon in the morning, crispy chicken in the afternoon, cholesterol issues in the evening!

I just have a few of questions.

1) How did you get the sprite of yourself (basically your avatar pic)? Did you make it yourself or did someone else make it for you?

2) Which pony conventions have you been too before? And what pony conventions would you consider going too?

3) Lastly, which country would you want to visit the most? Would it be for kicks or would you want to gain some cultural wisdom out of that country?

Are you a Supernatural fan? There's a Crowley on there, king of hell.

4729479
1) The sprite is from Pony Town! It lets you make your own pony, and you basically just walk around a field talking to other people who've made custom ponies.

2) I have never been to a Pony convention, nor do I see myself going to one in the near future. I'm from a remote part of the UK, so there's not a lot brony-wise to do here. Plus, showing up to a wholesome, family-friendly Pony con and having my contribution to the fandom amount to "I like to write about ponies bonking it" isn't really my thing.

3) I'd like to visit Germany, but only for the Oktoberfest! Beer and merriment sounds just great to me. I'd say Greece too, but I've already been there multiple times. That's where I'd like to live permanently though. Much better weather than over here in the UK!

4729505
No, I don't watch Supernatural, sorry! My character name actually came to me back when I was part of the Sonic fandom. I made a character who was a crow, and I was a huge Ozzy Osbourne fan at the time, so I named the character "Crowley", a play on Ozzy's song "Mister Crowley", and the word, well, Crow. When I joined this fandom I "translated" by bird character into a Griffon.

But yes, I'm aware that the name "Crowley" is often tinged with dark undertones in popular culture.

4729507
Aw thats a shame that you woudn't want to attend a con. Its actually quite fun, but hey, I respect your decision. I just wish I could have met you bro. You're like a one of the reasons why I actually kind of log on to Fimfiction.

The only bronycon I know of in the UK is Scotland's Bronyscot in Glasgow. But hey, if you don't wanna go, thats cool by me.
Cheers lad!

PS: Yes I used Guinness because I loved Guinness when I was in Ireland.

Hey, I wish I could meet damn near everyone I come across online, because everyone has their own lives and stories. Most people offline would just pass by on the street and not say a word. On the internet? Everyone talks, shares, spreads jokes and memes and who knows what. Still, I'm glad the 'net gives me a chance to talk to folks like yourself in the first place!

As for Glasgow, yeah, that's still a long way for me! Unless it's in Wales, it's unlikely to be worth the con- and train-tickets. I'm not especially rich right now! :P

Soft, sweet, and tender hug with Tempest?
OR
A spine crushing, vice grip hug with Tempest? :pinkiecrazy:

And, since we all know that Tempest is the TemBEST, who is the second favourite pony for you?

4729721
Obviously soft n' sweet! She's a much nicer pony than she lets on, I believe.

My top favourite game to play on PS4 has become this one:upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/56/The_Evil_Within_boxart.jpg
It does frustrate me like heck sometimes, but nothing beats it for psychological horror survival!:fluttershbad::rainbowderp::pinkiegasp::twilightoops::raritydespair::applejackconfused:

My actual question though, is do you play it? :scootangel:

4737153
I'm afraid I don't play that particular game, nor a PS4!
I'm a PC gamer, and I'm most often playing Warframe or Overwatch, among other things.

4737489
That's fine, all I can say.
