This is a little more detailed blog post. My updating is going to slow down for obvious reasons (I now have to actually write the stories), but there is good news.
First good news is that Progress is getting a bit of a facelift and some revision. The Ponies! In! SPAAACE! arc is being removed for the time being. In it's place I'll be putting in a brand new chapter about Sundance getting pregnant set in-between the two Dreamlands chapters.
After that, I will be posting The Mysterious Mare-Do-Well Returns (aka Luna vs. Vigilantism) as it's own story set in the "Progressverse", which I will then open up to other fanfic writers to play in with my permission. Hopefully I'm not tempting fate by saying that this should be done within this month at the very latest.
After that? New Pony Tales, I'll finish up Beating the Heat and then...? We'll see, as I said in the previous post.
That's pretty good news. Love your works, Talon, so I'll be looking forward for more to come. If I were to vote who wrote the best comedy, I'd definitely have to say that you win.
IMO, other than Sundance and her hubby (name escapes me for some reason) there isn't really all that much especially distinct or unique about the Progressverse. Luna's characterization is the main draw point of the series but that has been so heavily referenced and emulated that it almost become standardized.
Not saying this to mean I don't love it, I'm just not sure why I would want to read other authors' stories when the main reason I like Progress in the first place is your writing.
Well... there is one story I would want to see... Luna and the mane 6's foals growing up and adventuring together. (Inspired by Beating the Heat but depending on how it ends may not be in the cards.)

So, if you're butchering out "IN SPACE" and sending "vs. Vigilantism" to the corner to play with strangers, does that mean the new chapter explaining Sundance's pregnancy will be the end of the core "Progress" story?
Also, will the Sundance chapter be posted with the original version of the saga on the old page?
