It's Marinette's birthday and she's excited for the surprise party she knows Alya is throwing her with all her friends. After Tikki gives her a gift of Kwami boogers, Marinette heads downstairs only to receive one birthday surprise she wasn't expecting: her grandma!

Enter Gina Dupain, rebel biker grandma who apparently rarely comes around, and has somehow forgotten Marinette is 14 because she shows up with gifts more suited for a five year old. Yikes.

Anyway, after a brief montage of pretty much "Forever Filly" but with French chicks, Marinette very politely ditches her grandma to go to the party. When Gina goes back to the bakery, she feels despondent at not getting quality time with Marinette and Marinette faking enjoying her gifts, and Hawk Moth gets her.

When Befana (watched it in French, don't know the English name for this one yet) strikes at the party, it takes Marinette forever to get away to transform, and most of her friends end up in the line of fire of her Heaven or Hell Gun. It turns "bad kids" into coal and "good kids" into angels who become Befana's minions.

When it's all over, Marinette gets a birthday present from Adrien--a handmade friendship bracelet like the one she gave him in "The Gamer".

Points of interest in this episode:

- Introduction of another member of the Dupain family.
- Chloe and Sabrina are absent this episode, since obviously they would not be invited to the party.
- Tikki gives Marinette a "Kwagatama", which I'm sure we'll see again later.
- Deepening of the friendship between Marinette and Adrien.
- Hawk Moth getting chided by Akumatized granny for bad manners.
- Lots of funny and cute moments.
