What the MLP Movie Needed · 10:55pm Oct 16th, 2017

I'm not sorry.
Anyway, I wanted to mention that I'm still jotting down story ideas and rough drafts, and I've already written at least half of an upcoming story centered on Chrysalis, though it's only the first draft and will surely take many days to complete. There are a few story ideas I've considered over the past few days, some of which I've discussed in Discord chats, but a few of those I've kindly let other authors attempt if they feel like it. I've noticed that coming up with ideas is sometimes more fun that the laborious process of turning them into presentable stories, but I guess that's kind of a given when you've been trying to improve for so long. Luckily, I am determined to get the Chrysalis story released in some form, even if that involves a taxing editing process.
There are no concrete plans for future blog posts or publishable stories outside of the aforementioned one starring Chrysalis, but if anything interesting comes up, I'll be sure to let you know. I might do something based on headcanons and character quirks, but otherwise, I'll just focus on writing that story. It'll probably need a ton of work before it's ready to publish, let alone be readable. That seems to be a pattern with my writing style.
I wish you all the best!

That's some damn good Chrissy art, Mana, here's one of my favorites.

Captures her perfectly.
Anyways, looking forwards to any story ideas you may put out in the future. And of course, the new Chrysalis story you're working on...

Yeah, Chrysalis has one of the most amazing designs in the show. As for the story, I've been enjoying the idea of working with a protagonist who's villainous in nature, but nevertheless faces an antagonist who's also shady and corrupt. Hopefully, the final story turns out well, even if it takes a while to complete.
I prefer Chryssibug in her hive.

The changeling grubs are so cute! I love the other little details in that image.
4699893 Makes you wonder how much changelings are driven by terpenes around them. So when Chryssi has an empty nest, or is alone, she literally must lay eggs. When she has all her changelittles around her, she is mellow and loving. But when a pony is near, or the hive is full of adult changelings, she becomes aggressive.
By looking at the title, I thought you were going to talk about what the movie did wrong and how it could be fixed.

I’ve gotten enough grief for posting my complaints about the movie, so that kind of blog post likely won’t be happening. I just felt like sharing a movie-based comic I found funny, not to mention a brief update on writing. Who’d turn down a big Toblerone?
