The End of In The Company Of Night · 12:06pm Sep 9th, 2017

And there you go, it's finished. The story of the Annals is complete. The Company goes on, and life moves on, but the play is over.

I've got some further ideas, and certain characters were threatening to break out on their own towards the end there. In fact, they may break out of protective custody at some point, and start up their own story. But I'm making an executive decision that those stories aren't a part of the Annals' story.

Faded Palimpsest definitely is developing a personality. Probably won't be a war epic, though. Feels more like court satire. If H.P. Lovecraft found himself a courtier for a Dagonian fish-princess.

Woo-hoo! :pinkiehappy:

Downloading it to my kindle!

I will admit a few grievinces to the source material but I have to say this might be one of the few cases where I loved an adaption of sorts far better than the novel. There is so much to love about the Company of Night, which is advantageous I suppose because I am only 80 chapters in.

Oh geez, gonna have to pick my reading back up!

Congratulations on finishing … (*checks story*) … 1.05 Lord of the Rings trilogies' worth of storytelling!

Bugger, did I actually lap the Lord of the Rings? I checked once a few months back, but didn't really keep, y'know, a signpost. I mean, I knew when I passed Middlemarch, and was pretty sure I was well short of War and Peace.

And thanks.
