So, a lot of you wonderful people, ponies, and others (yes, I know at least one of you is a fox); know I show the utmost respect to people of all genders and alignments, and I figure a lot of you feel the same way.
A friend pointed me to a story from a newish writer that was getting vote bombed when it really didn't deserve it. I am not going to ask you to blindly vote the story up, but it is under 2k words, and I would ask you to read it, and if you like it, vote it up and leave a positive comment.

I was abused by women growing up. From when I was 6 to about 22ish I've had a lot of unfortunate events involving gender, the point that anything having to do with gender, anything at all, emotionally makes me sneer in bitter contempt. Equal gender rights, transgender, crossdressing, etc. Basically, I hate it, not because it's inherently wrong or anything, but because it's been used as a tool to physically and emotionally abuse me from a very young age. It's one of those things you have to be extremely sensitive and careful towards, and the fact that I never got justice or a resolution on the things that happened to me, makes me always twitch whenever I see anyone going out of their way to defend it.
Nothing against y'all. I just really hate this sort of thing. I figured I'd kinda filter out any positive bias, so if I say it's fine, it must be, right?
The story's alright~
Obviously isn't my cup of tea, but I don't see anything that makes it deserve a swarm of downvotes. Nothing grammar wise stood out too hard casually reading through it. Aria seems to be an insert for the author, but we all write who we know best to some degree, and Aria herself seems like a character who could easily have a lot of internal conflict.
4659103 Yeah. That's cool. Everyone has their history, the things that they will get worked up over, but what was happening was just stupid. I just wanted to make sure someone (a fellow writer) knew that not everyone on here is an outspoken pile of verbal diarrhea.
It wasn't really my "kind" of story either, I love me some paranormal fiction (Dresden Files, Laurall K Hamilton, etc) and in all honesty I don't read a heck of a lot on here (fimfiction). But this attacking pressed a few buttons.
