Who else is excited for this practically once in a lifetime event!?
I am completely happy, for I naturally live in a place where I get to see an almost complete totality! This is going to be awesome! My school is letting us out to go see it tomorrow and they hired a Snow Cone stand and hotdogs!
Of course, don't forget these rules:
1. Get solar glasses. I cannot stress how important this is. It will damage your eyes if you look at the sun without them. Don't use sunglasses, they won't do anything. In a pinch, get a welding helmet. That's what I'm using. Get something over 11 but under 14.
2. Get solar lenses for the camera if you plan on taking photos. Otherwise it'll ruin the sensors.
3. Don't be rude and try to break your way rudely through a crowd of people in order to get a better view. You will get mauled.
4. Have fun and be safe!
5. One last rule. DO NOT BLINK.
