MLP Season 7 | A Royal Problem [SPOILERS] · 12:26am May 21st, 2017

Well, I'll start by stating I loved the episode and it's my favourite from the season thus far. Celestia and Luna lose the regal masks for a while, Twilight is the adorkable alicorn that is UNDISPUTABLY best pony, and something else...

Something I have wanted for a long time...

SPOILERS BELOW! I MEAN IT, A BIG ONE!

HOLY SHIT YES.

(10/10 episode, BTW)

I kinda wish they just had Twilight tackle this, honestly I disliked Starlight's involvement and she learned nothing just that she was right in how she handled things from the get go.

Overall this episode was fantastic I just wish Worst Pony wasn't in it. :facehoof:

4540763 The episode would never work with Twilight, she puts the princesses on a pedestal and would never be impulsive enough to confront them about the issue. This episode could only ever work with best pony (AKA Starlight).

This episode was fun. Starlight really took a chance putting Celestia and Luna in that situation. Twilight Best Pony was funny, kind of acting like a conscience to Starlight and wanting to know everything. I also liked seeing the royals sisters arguing and bickering like normal sisters again, it is just so fun to see.

4540795 To me she is worst pony.

But if Twilight tried to handle this, with her own personal bias, it would not have been half as entertaining as this. Starlight might be impulsive and make the wrong decisions at times, but she usually follows her gut. And while there are times this does not play out correctly, like when she bottled up her emotions or used mind-control, in this case it was done well. Helps the royal sisters walk in each other's horseshoes.

Luna trying to smile is one thing, but I think it would be fun to see how Celestia deals with other nightmares. But, you know, time constraints. Though, it was fun to see them act like normal pony sisters and bicker like that, with sarcasm and all that.

Honestly, I never seen Celestia act so unlike her royal self. And it's been a while since I heard Luna's ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE.

So, the episode was a 9.5/10. I would love to see Celestia mess up a bit comically, though.

Oh, and Daybreaker was a good dark reflection of Celestia. It shows that even she has the potential to fall, even if it was only in a Nightmare.

Daybreaker wasn't what I was hoping for but it's interesting.
