I bear unfortunate news, folks. · 1:57am Apr 26th, 2017
The TL;DR version is that I'm putting How Rarity fell in love with a Flying Purple Hippo on hiatus due to real life stuff. For the whole story, read on after the break.
Ok, so, I really never wanted to resort to putting a fic on hiatus, but at this point, I kinda have no choice. From the time I published chapter two, I couldn't really get inspired to write. My muse just wasn't cooperating, and I've only managed to get down like 500 words of chapter three so far. However, it's not just that this particular story is being trouble. For a few months, I'm probably not going to be able to find the time to write anything at all.
As some of you already know, I've been attending college for an engineering degree for a while. As of now, I'm actually about to graduate; only a week and a half of classes are left before finals. This means I won't have much free time, due to my studies. Moreover, I have yet to secure a job for when I do, because all the entry-level positions in my field seem to require masters degrees for some reason. This will occupy about half my time once I'm finished with school, because I sure as hell don't want to live with my parents any longer than I have to.
The other half will be spent playing the Nintendo Switch, which I refrained from buying until now to avoid extra distractions. That is, assuming I can find one. Avoiding Zelda spoilers has been a huge struggle, but should be worth it. I've been dying to play a new 3D Zelda since Skyward Sword. Not to mention all the other games coming out I've been looking forward to: Splatoon 2, Fire Emblem Echoes, Layton's Mystery Journey, and more.
Once I do find a job and get settled in, the stories shall flow once more. I'm not even close to being out of ideas yet, and I plan on sticking with this fandom for years to come. I'll still be around, reading and commenting as usual, just not as often. Until that day comes, you can always keep yourselves occupied by reading some of the many stories I've favorited over the years.
~ Thought Prism out.
Best of luck on the job front. Here's hoping the relaxation time feeds your muse.
Dude, know the feel.
I hope all goes well for you!
Aye, taking care of business always takes top priority. Do what you have to do~
