Why? Well, since m' wife and I couldn't go out on our anniversary proper, we'll be doing so tomorrow evening. She wanted to see the Power Rangers film...takin' me back a number of years. The first series was out when I was in sixth grade, and it seemed poorly done then, too. Excessive arm whooshing noises and whatnot.
Anyways, the we'll have to be at the 7pm showing to make sure our daughter isn't up much too late. With the usual posting time at 8pm, and the severe frowning-on of having phones on, let alone out, at the theatre, I'll probably put the chapter out before we depart for dinner. Might make it really early tomorrow, like 5pm or some such. Maybe that'll get more exposure from different folks?
Anyways, at this point I'm mostly through the rough draft, and I'm looking at part of it and thinking of the most meme-tastic scene from Anchorman...you know...this bit:
I might slow it down some...or perhaps just things go nuts all-too-fast. Either way, there's some editing to do, parts to flesh out, and so on. I'll also have a question for you guys in the author's note, and perhaps a bit of explanation since I foresee a question arising. Suffice it to say, this one falls heavy on the drama side of the comedy-drama spectrum...most of the chapters lately have been doing just that.
A question for now is if I should tag the whole darn thing as "Dark," and put a note in the long description, saying that tag applies from Chapter 22 forward (Vs. Koga)? What do you guys think?
The new power rangers films is really good in terms of characterization and not making certain things, such as the whooshing noise from the original series, over the top. I don't actually recall there being any silly wishing noise in it. The film is a real treat.
