    Revised Harmony Spirits

I wanted a full set of these with proper art, so with permissions from mauroz, here they are. A couple effects have been tweaked to be consistent with modern vernacular in the card game and for my own better understanding of card design and balancing, and I also added a new "Tier 1.5" form for Twilight so she can have her own Fusion outside the ace monster, and finally added Sunset as a

FFX Thought · 12:48am Mar 20th, 2017

So, if an Aeon can only be called by one summoner at a time...

*Yuna gets in random encounter, summons Bahamut*

Meanwhile, thousands of miles away...

*Summoner gets cornered by monster as his guardians are KO'd*

"I summon Bahamut! ... ... ... Well, shit."

Heh, yeah.

Another bit of trivia (I'm just full of it with this re-play, aren't I?), the Faythe that make up the summon spend their time in Dream Zanarkand when they aren't being called on. They were content with the way things were going ever since the real Zanarkand fell. It wasn't until the Jeckt incident happened that they all realized that nothing was going to change and the cycle of death would continue. That's when the plot to bring in Tidus was conceived to end this all once and for all.

4463595 Another thought I had - Tidus joining the Aurochs is a microcosm of the overarcing story. They've given up hope for ever winning and are content to just do their best. Tidus joins and tells them that's lame, they should try to win, even if they have no chance. The Aurochs agree, rally around him, and prevail.

4463657 The entire story of FFX. Everyone has given up. Tidus, the whiny brat that SO MANY people hate, says absolutely no to quitting. Never give up. Only think about winning, no matter what they're facing. In a world where everyone has already given up, no wonder they needed him.

4463780 Yeah, that's a major reason I have trouble liking FFX - I have little sympathy for the people of Spira precisely because they have given up. My favorite series (Yugioh Arc-V, Final Fantasy VI, Kingdom Hearts, My Little Pony) are the ones where the characters never give up. No matter how dark things get, no matter how much you get kicked, no matter how bad it is, you get back up and you try, because there is always always hope for things to get better if you keep trying. Love and hope and light will win out over hate and despair and darkness no matter how powerful the latter may seem.

IMHO that's the reality of life. Life is tough, and unfair. Life is going to sucker punch you in the stomach, kick you when you're down and take your wallet. But tomorrow it might bring the wallet back and apologize. It might not, but you never know. So don't lay there on the ground, you get up.

Not in Spira, though. Very few characters have any hope of actually changing things and stopping Sin. Even the party when they find out, Lulu and Wakka just accept that Sin cannot be killed and call it "childish" to think there may be a way. I don't feel sorry for them that they are so lost in despair and nihilism that they don't care to try; I'm annoyed by them.

4463798 And yet, the one that I see most people hating, is Tidus, who is the very opposite of what these people are and what they needed. You would think they needed the Al Bhed by that logic, but seeing the consequences of following their ways stimulated their minds further into seeing that direction was wrong, while for Tidus, it only further increased his want to defeat Sin for good without letting more people die.

Spira is full of twisted minds that is led to believe that nothing they do will change the results, to accept how things are, to hold on to a hope that will never end. If they try, they die. That sort of thing has happened for over 800 years, taught to many generations and its children, and nothing has happened to make them believe anything good would change if they tried to deviate from their beliefs.

4463798 and if it doesn't, next week you can go to life's house and beat the crap out of it.
