    Thoughts at 6AM (didn't sleep)

Insomnia is a bitch. I'm doing far better with my new medication, but it's also been causing me to have loads of trouble falling asleep for the last three weeks. Every day it takes longer and longer to get tired, usually ending up with me staying awake until 9AM and then crashing. Sleeping during the day sucks because there's a huge renovation in my apartment house so basically every work day is

Top 10 pony songs from G4 (cliché, I know)

I haven't written anything in a while. I've been stuck inside my own head with a lot of difficulties and mental issues, which are finally easing up. Let's just say that sometimes it's far better to stop hitting your head against a wall and instead take a step back and see if there's a door somewhere, you dig? Anyways, I wanted to write something light before I dive into another fic and try to

    Hey! You! You're above average!

    Yes, I mean it.

For example, the average number of hands a person has is less than two. You probably have at least two hands, so you're above the curve. If you have less than two arms, I'm sorry, but also thanks for making the statistics nicer for the rest of us.

    In other statistics

    Thoughts at 2AM

Friendliness, politeness and respect are all priceless, yet free to give.

I'll try to remember that even more in the future.

    Offspring? Really??

I know if you're going to steal, steal from the best, but still... Offspring? Makes me even sadder that "Mob mob mob" was the only song from the movie that I legit liked.

Something about being a pedophile and writing foalcon · 7:59pm Sep 29th, 2012

This conversation came up Dominant Ideal and I think it fits with some of my other works as well, namely Lead. Care. Inspire and No Good Deed...

mines5 (Sorry for posting without your permission. I know you won't mind!)

I have some pretty weird fantasies myself and some of them manage to terrify me , I have to wonder what our brain's have against even making the slightest amount of sense.

Sorry but... Why should it scare you? You're 100% free to think whatever you like. No-one can see into your mind and read your thoughts. And whatever your weirdest fantasies might be, at least a few THOUSAND people will have the exact same things in mind. Maybe not if it's about a specific person, but similar stuff. And they get anonymously together on the web and share their thoughts, which in turn give new ideas and thoughts to the rest of their community.

And it's completely OK! There are no such things as "thought crime" in the world. And if you can't be comfortable with the stuff you have in your head, then who can? You are what you are, silly. Every thought, every desire, it's just you. Does it make you a sick pervert? Hell no.

Only human

I wanted to bring this up, because there are always people who confuse "thinking about" with "writing about" with "planning" with "actually committing something indescribably evil". I have nothing except loathing and probable physical assault on anyone who would abuse a child IRL. And I find reading and writing about (heck, even watching) imaginary technicolor foals (among other things) doing sexually explicit stuff. And it's in no way, shape or form wrong.

Just for those people who keep commenting in the story about "I'm going to hell/Why am I reading this?/This is sick, but I have the weirdest boner right now." Enjoy what you like. It's totally OK if it doesn't hurt anyone.

Truer words have never been spoken and for that i give a :yay: to you

Eeyup. That entire blog post just makes sense. It's okay to think and write whatever you want. In fact it sometimes even helps you get the urge to do that stuff out of your system.

After all we're only human.

Also the people who hurt children.....:twilightangry2:

:moustache:

Do and think what you want as long as you are not hurting anyone. :scootangel:

Human sexuality is such a complex issue, people who have devoted their entire lives to the psychological study of it still don't know the half of it.
There is a huge difference between writing about rape, pedophilia, etc. and committing the act.
There IS a co-relation between the two, but not a causation effect.
The Co-relation being many people who WOULD commit rape, or pedophilia, will seek out literature on the subject, however not all people who seek out literature are rapists/pedophiles.
A simpler example of my premise; Cars.
A car can be blue.
Something blue can be a car.
But not all cars are blue, and not all blue things are cars.
Those who say "Oh you write about foalcon so you endorse it." are falling into an obvious logical fallacy, saying that you are a pedophile because of this fanfic makes no more sense than saying famed British Historian Richard J. Evans is a Nazi, because he writes about them.
(Sorry if this sounds condescending, I mean no disrespect to the author, however it is worded in an attempt to be condescending to people who make those logical mistakes, as those mistakes are painfully obvious to anyone who thinks about them for more than three consecutive seconds. However, if you want to start your journy into "common sense" and "logic" Start by reading this post, then look up the "Gambler's fallacy" as in a small way, it relates to this. Basing the Results of "B" (being a pedophile/rapist) on an independent "A" (reading a fan-fiction)

Do you know why humans can't be comfortable with their thoughts?
Because society.

Also, I agree with this blog.

554793 I've been very happy to see several people in this thread that actually know how to think for themselves and not let "ze society" think for them. :facehoof:Maybe there's hope for humankind still.

555280 I doubt it. But then again, the glass is half empty on my side of the world, eh?

How many fools can I kill today?
Too many to count, don't get in my way!

I suspect people will get very angry at me for saying this, but I have to wonder why people consider abusing (or even having "normal" romantic relationships with) children so wrong. Why is it that something that happens to adults is worse when it happens to children? And on the subject of romantic relationships, why is it that if a child who consents to or initiates a relationship with an adult is treated as somebody who cannot make their own decisions, and the adult is punished for taking part in a consentual relationship between people who fully understand the risks and consequences involved?

Sorry for the speech, I needed to get this off my chest and it seemed like a good spot.

between people who fully understand the risks and consequences involved?

That right there is the crux of the problem, now is it not? When can you be certain that people are prepared and equipped for a relationship? If you ask any 11-15 year old, they'll immediate tell you that they are complete adults, just, youknow... a bit short. To me, I can't even think of anyone under the age of 20 as anything but a snotty brat. And if we go even younger, like under 10, the person's mind is still developing. Children of that age don't even have a fully developed set of morality or idea of independence, and they are completely reliant on their surroundings for everything in their life. There is no way that someone of that age could have a relationship with someone considerably older on equal terms. And there is no way to make certain that such a relationship wouldn't directly lead to an abusive partnership.

627631

Well, there are abusive relationships between adults as well. And I didn't mean to imply that children are all (or even mostly) aware of the consequences. I meant to say that even if they were it would still be considered a bad thing.

While this is kind of old, I agree with this completely.

1002347 It's still relevant, and it's nice to see more folks read it.

By the powers vested in me, I hereby resurrect this dead blog!

There's a MASSIVE difference between two preteens having a relationship and an adult raping a child. (It's called consent).
