It's been a while, but I'm finally going to be posting stories again! 
Thanks to the help of the redoubtable Coffeeminion, I Love the Smell of Friendship in the Morning is ready for launch! Chapter 1 will be posted either tomorrow or Monday.
While I don't have a set posting schedule, chapters 2-4 are already written and just need editing and polish before posting, I think I can easily manage one chapter per month until completion.
So, a general synopsis is in order, I guess:
The story takes place in the Grim Dark future of the Grimdarkness of MLP40K. Grimdark.
It can be said that it is the innumerable ponies of the Equestrian Guard that make up the bulk of the war machine that keeps ponykind safe from the myriad horrors in a galaxy otherwise devoid of friendship. But what keeps these ponies going other than blind faith and devotion to The Princesses in Canterlot? The Equestris Administratus will tell you that the answer is a combination of oats, soylens veridians, and recaf.
If you take away a pony's oats or reconstituted pony completely vegetable based protein mix, a pony can survive for days, or even weeks.
But... take away their caffeine... and all Tartarus breaks loose... Especially when the pony missing his morning fix is Regimental Commissar Nutmeg.
Caffeine withdrawal can do things to a pony; horrible, horrible things. But not as horrible as what Nutmeg and his band of conscripts loyal guardsponies will do to any pony, xeno, or other that dares to keep him from his recaf.
...yay?
I'm keen to see more Moose on the loose! Also, this will finally let me delete the story mock-up that I did as a gag like... a year ago...
