Rescue Rangers Movie · 7:48pm Feb 15th, 2022
So, did anyone else see that there was a Rescue Rangers movie coming out… with Chip riding Fluttershy?
It has Seth Rogan and JK Simmons, so… umm. Is it bad that I want to watch it just for the ponies?
And here’s the video:
I definitely want context for that scene. And I do like the idea of the Uncanny Valley era of CGI leading to a ghetto of the disconcerting in a universe that works by Roger Rabbit rules.

I believe Dale says something to the effect of “yeah, I got the CGI “surgery.”
I just
why
Dude, is that an OC? And Trixie on the right?! Maybe they will relate the cancelation of both of the shows, and the Mane 6 will help them in some way?
I think it's cool to see another Who Framed Roger Rabbit-esqe worlds where all the characters are real actors. That's actually a cool concept, but I doubt it will be very good either way.

I don't think it does work by Roger Rabbit rules.
In Roger Rabbit, only the dip can kill a toon. I guess technology could have advanced since then, or maybe wacky toons forget they're immortal, but they just ignored that part.
Also, what's the deal with toon aging? I was tempted to think the writers just hadn't thought things through, but there is a scene where Peter meets one of the lost boys, who is still a child, and the staging of that scene made it feel like the writers were daring the audience to piece that part together.
Also, if Chip and Dale were children in the eighties, then how did they co-star in Donald Duck shorts in the 1940's and 50's? And if Peter grew up, then how did he ever appear on 'Jake and the Neverland Pirates.'
Also, Peter's motivation seems to be a former child star's abandonment issues, and shame over the changes to his own body. This might not be the most solid solution, psychologically speaking, but can't he just have himself re-edited and be young again. The technology clearly exists and he has access.
I think we might have circled back to 'the writers just didn't think this through.'
