It's my birthday today! · 6:00am Oct 25th, 2016
That's right! I'm officially 26 years old (Yeah, I know. Mid-to-late 20's and writing MLP fanfiction. So mature), which means that... well, not much. I already reached all the major milestones to adulthood, so now all I have to look forward to is turning 30.
On the bright side, my lovely boyfriend wrote this cute little story for me, which I highly recommend checking out if you like my Troy/Canvas stuff. Also check out his other stories if you want more M/M goodness (especially Caramac, which is his specialty and the reason I started writing here).
Speaking of Troyvas, I can safely say that since my latest chapter, Brushed Away 3 will only have one chapter left. That's right. After writing out over 650,000 words (not counting Private Moments, which will continue after this), the wedding reception will be the finale chapter of not only this story, but of this series as a whole. After this, there won't be much more Troyvas in me.
But don't be too upset! Since I'm working on the reception, there's still a lot I need to write out, including Blade's contribution to the ceremony. Since his metal band Talon Ripper will be performing, I need some good suggestions for what kind of song they would send Canvas and Troy off to as their first dance. I only have two details I want to be known:
1.) It has to involve a piano/keyboard in some way (plot detail I don't wanna spoil)
2.) It has to be metal. Maybe not over the top, but something with a little oomf in it. A good example of what I mean is the rock rendition of Davy Jones' 'Girl' from the Brady Bunch Movie:
But hey, if you guys have good ideas of what they'd perform, let me know! I'm always open to listening to new stuff.

Also, there's not a thing wrong with writing MLP fanfiction at 26. MLP:FIM didn't premiere until I was 30, and I didn't write my first MLP fanfic until I was 32. The most recent story I wrote was published in 2015, when I was 35. I still have plans to keep writing. Don't ever stop doing what you love! :)

And as for a metal song involving a piano, presumably something upbeat, wedding-appropriate and having lyrics that might sound a bit like they could be applied to the characters in a vague sense?
Yeah I don't have much, but Blind Guardian did cover Queen's 'Spread Your Wings', which involves a piano, that classic Queen triumphant sound, and the lyrics 'spread your wings and fly away' which works metaphorically and literally for the general theme of your series. Perhaps you won't be able to forgive the German accents, but seeing as Blade's faking a Trottingham one anyway...
