So about S6...

At the start of S6 I wrote a blog discussing how S6 would impact my writing. As many of you know from reading any of my main writing - collectively known as the Iceverse - I don't follow any canon other than the show (and sometimes EqG). I have never adapted anything from the comics or novels regarding the show except bits of Cady's backstory. The AU tag upon my works usually just indicated that there was lots of lore but nothing major.

Until now.

I'm not sure if any of you have figured this out but my work is more or less always going to be those Iceverse stories and upon viewing the S6 finale - I won't give anything away - I have made this blog to announce that S6 will not be in the Iceverse canon - it will truly be AU now. Don't get me wrong, I love Flurry Heart but she's technically a genetic impossibility in the 'verse. There were, to keep it brief, a lot of issues with the finale and even a few other episodes that wouldn't make sense with any of the lore. This means that in the Iceverse, changelings, for example are still an untouched subject as are many other things.

I'm not leaving the fandom or anything. I still watch the show, just less frequently since I don't have to keep up with lore any longer. It's just that there will be no S6 lore (except a few minor nods at most to little splinters of ideas that appeared in episodes) in any of my stories. No Flurry. No Thorax. No Ember.

I have a lot of ideas I'm eager for you guys to read and S6 just doesn't fit with them, so from here on out don't be expecting any stories to feature characters from any seasons onward if they occur in the Iceverse - you know, that whole mess of stories with all the developed lore, backstories, and all that writing goodness.

I've spent a while mulling this over and this choice is final. You will be able to find this blog linked on my page and an expanded summary of something similar on my AU group page - which is also linked on my page.
