Okay, so apparently the ECT doctor is still conferring with the doctor who installed my neurostim implant so it will be safe to proceed. That means no zap today.
In all likelihood the zap will be Wednesday morning. I'll post about it after it happens.
EDIT: Zomg they're still not sure about doing it with the implant in place and now they have to talk to the manufacturer! Earliest will be Friday and even then I don't know. 
This has been one of the most frustrating red tape experiences of my life, and I've been a grad student in two completely different fields of study.

Hmm, so it seems before the mental therapy bit, they strain the limits of your sanity. Makes sense to me.

Well, if they're that unsure about it, to ask the manufacturer, it's probably gonna be a 'no.' The manufacturer would be liable if they said yes and something bad happened, so I doubt they'll say yes.
Unless by some odd chance the manufacturer has studied such scenarios...
