Hey everyone. I just got to sit and start writing the next chapter of my most popular story An Unexpected Twilight when I realized something. I don't know how to start the next chapter. I know it'll be from Dawn's POV, and I know what will happen, but I'm at a loss when trying to start it. So it may be a little while before I really get the next chapter going. If you'd like to help, I'd shamelessly accept any offered beginnings to the next chapter you give me. Otherwise, wish me luck. ^^
Perhaps you should start it with a conversation. I personally want to see how long she can keep up the charade and see how well she can hide her true nature. I love how you are taking your time with her introduction to Equestria, I personally find stories more bland once a lifestyle gets put in place.
Overall though, I believe you just need to take your time and think. I get much of my thinking done going on walks. I live in a pretty rural area so I don't have many distractions.
i agree with lord hades, and remember, it's meant to be a luncheon with the mane 6 (and maybe princesses) use that as a starting point once you work through the rut
Will Celestia be there? If so, start it like this:
Celestia: Hello my little po-
Dusk: Wait! Before we go any further, there's something I must ask of you. And please, be honest.
Everyone: ...(stunned silence at the fact that she interrupted Celestia)
Celestia: ...*ahem* Very well, I suppose if you're so insistent then whatever you have to say must be rather important.
Dusk: Thank you. (proceeds to tell her the whole pun theory)
Everyone is once again stunned silent until Celestia, unable to hold it any longer, lets out a snicker, then a snort, before devolving into a full blown fit of laughter while screaming "SOMEPONY FINALLY GOT IT!!!", causing Twilight to BSOD for a while.

Perhaps as the human mind has a tendency to dwell on dark things more often then not... I think? That the darker magic's are easily accessible to dawn even without realising it and because of the mind difference dark magic has no negative effects, besides twilights done it before and she was FFffiiiiinne.
