Feeling Sad · 1:12am Sep 6th, 2016

It was announced a few weeks ago, but my youth pastor is going to start a church in Georgia where he'll pastor (it's so far away). The first week after we all received the news, I and undoubtedly all the other teenagers cried themselves to sleep. I'm doing fine now. But it still hurts when I think about it. It's so hard to imagine what it will be like to not have his family around anymore. If it weren't for them, I would be a much different person. I consider my youth pastor to be my second father. Fitting since we all call him Papa John, Papa, Papa Awesome, and anything thing else with Papa in it. When I get married someday, no one else but my youth pastor will perform the ceremony. They'll be moving anywhere from this November to early spring. I really wish they would stay for the whole schoolyear, but it doesn't look like it.

Also pray, because my family is considering buying their house. We need to move. We all want to. We're just ready for a new house. Hopefully, it will happen.

Thanks guys.

I'll be praying

*hugs* Sorry to hear that you're losing your youth pastor, hope the next one is just as great.

Find joy in the fact that someone could have such an influence on you that it could move you to miss them so.

Take this into the world! What he and his family was you be that person to others!

It's sad, yeah but it's also kinda great considering that many times people go through life not having someone like that in their life.

You are truly privileged

Thanks. I appreciate it.

Thanks. I know there'll never be another youth pastor like Papa, but I'm going to give his replacement a chance. The new family will probably be having a hard time, since they'll be moving to a new place full of strangers.

I'm happy and sad at the same time. I'm excited because they'll be going somewhere that doesn't have a church and will be reaching those people, giving them the same love and care that they gave us (of course, we'll always be his favorite group).
I really am blessed aren't I. I hope the new church will feel the same way.

Thanks everyone! :3

I'll keep ya in my prayers mate. As well as this situation.

4194490 That they will.

I'll definitely be praying, Melody. I hope everything works out for you, your youth pastor, and your move.
I understand what that's like. God bless you. :fluttershysad::heart:

No problem, it's what friends are for.

I'll be praying, melly!:scootangel:

I'll pray for you. My church's youth pastor recently felt God calling him somewhere else, although he isn't sure where that is yet. It can be a tough thing.

Rush and Pony on!
