Who the hell remembers Bakugan? · 3:46pm Aug 25th, 2016

I was young enough to enjoy the show as a kid and even now I come back to the show every so often to see how well it's aged.

Note: it hasn't aged all that well. But by god it tried, and that's an A+ in my books.

I still have tons of my old Bakugan toys lying around. Hell, some of them are even "ultra-rare"! I'm putting them in quotations because even though they are considered ultra rare, and they are, they only sell for about two bucks a pop. Stuff like some legendary Bakugan, some bronze-cover Bakugan, and even a pearl Bakugan or two!

My pride and joy is my Serpenoid which I had been searching for almost my entire life. I almost got one when I was still in grade school in a trade, but the kid wanted it back. I finally bought a Ventus one for a buck at a flea market along with a Darkus Harpus and a Aquos Sirenoid.

Does anyone remember the show? Does anyone still have some of the toys? Tell me in the comments below!

It's been so long since I've see that show. I still have some toys.

Back when I was a kid, I actually started a Bakugan club back in Pittsburgh. I'd invite classmates over, and we'd all play together. It was pretty fun, even if I wasn't very good.:rainbowlaugh:

But to answer your question, yes, I remember Bakugan quite fondly, :)

Do you remember the names of any of the Bakugan? Without googling right off the top of your head?

4170935
Dude, that sounds like SO much fun! I would have totally joined if... y'know... I lived in the states.
Do you still have any of the little buggers lying around? If so, which ones?

When Bakugan came out on television I guess I was outside the target age range. I didn't get any of the toys, and honestly speaking, I only saw a handful of episodes.

4170946
If not for the show, do it for the toys. The engineering behind them and how they work is actually very fascinating.

4170948
Still have most of my collection.

4170945
I think I have a few lying around, but to be honest it was so long ago, I can't really remember anymore. I know there all lying around upstairs though, probably packed in a box. Still, those were good times.

4170952
Why don't you take a look through that box? Not for me, but for your memories and enjoyment. Who knows, maybe you'll find something you like?

Dude I watched the show. Every single season. Have the toys including Dragonoid collosus plus the bakugan that goes with it and battlegear. But my pride and joy is having a Darkus Darak with 800 g power. Brings back old memories.

I remember watching the first two seasons (and then later the fourth) and loving it. I have ~20 of them lying somewhere. I even still have a Bakugan picture hanging on my wall.

4170949 I have to agree with you there, I kind of wish more toys had as much detail put into them. Maybe someone should start working on a similar set of toys/game. I actually have a book that can really help with game design.

4170941 Not to my knowledge.

4170955
Kinda wish someone could bring back Bakugan. It was such a cool concept!

4170957
20 of them lying around? Remember the names of any of them? :rainbowkiss:

4170958
One day I hope to bring Bakugan back. Maybe with everyone's help I can eventually do that.

4170964
Alright, fair enough.

4170969
I remember a time, where I did. Luckily I have them right here.
Let's see: Aquos Preyas Diablo (my favourite), Darkus Falconoid, a Haos and a Pyros Tigress, Darkus Wilda, Aquos Harpus, Darkus and Subterra Percival, Aquos Dragonoid (don't know which one), Pyros Asura, Haos Tentacloid(?) and eight more names I don't remember (like that butterfly-woman)
I also remember playing a bad Bakugan game on PSP, not liking season four much, never seeing season three and having a friend that was even more obsessed of it.
Oh, and that's the picture hanging over me right now:

Nice selection! I actually go around flea markets every now and then to try and get some Bakugan for some cheap prices, like my Ventus Serpenoid and my Aquos Snapzoid.

Funnily enough, I actually liked the fourth season the best since it dropped the G power thing from the real life game and just gave us monster battles, which was fucking awesome in my opinion.

I had some of the toys and remember the show. I had a few of the double sided ones.

I have three Bakugan. A Ventus, a Sub Terra, and a Aquas.

I remember I use to have one of the toys back when Mcdonald's had cool toys. Though, I think I lost it in the move.

4171026
Do you know their names, or at least what they look like? If you tell me what they look like, I could probably tell you their names.

4171003
For me it was the other way around. I liked the strategic aspect of the game and was a bit sad they completely removed it for season two, which made the g-power completely unnecessary (except for you get your opponents Bakugan with more than 500 difference), but I really liked the story and I admit there were some awesome battles.
My main problem with season four is the story. Dan is a huge ass throughout most of the season. No wonder the antagonists became so famous. And the villain-twist didn't make much sense if you haven't seen season three (which I'm pretty sure they never showed in germany).

4171042
Ah, the McDonalds line of Bakugan toys. I actually have a few of them too, but I mostly have the ones designed by Spinmaster themselves before they fell into their dark age.

4171060
They never showed Gundalian Invaders in Germany? Weird. I wonder why...

4171063 Awesome:pinkiehappy:
And yeah, those dark ages.

4171074
Just looked it up. A german dub of season 3 does not exist. And as I found out season 4 has a second arc which also has never been shown here.
So yeah, what I said about season 4 only applies to the first 39 episodes.

HOLLY HELL! THAT SHOW WAS MY CHILDHOOD! I still have them in my room, this very moment above my head. I even have one CD with 3 episodes....At the time I watched it on CN and the channels that only ran in our country so I watched the early seasons dubbed and the later ones (even the sequel series) in English

Hell yeah I remember that show. It's one of my top 10 favorites. I always wanted one of the toys but I wasn't able to get my hands on one. My friend had one though, so he would let me mess around with his.

I also remember playing one of the Bakugan games on the XB360 (My cousin sold the game though, which sucked because it was really fun).

I never watched the show, but my cousins did. I think I still have two or three that one of them gave me. It was actually pretty fun to play.

I remember the show and played it I even played on ps2 that was a good game back then.

4171156
Which ones do you have?

4171195
You can probably buy them cheap at a retail store or even a flea market of some sort. Or Ebay or Amazon. Though, they do go for a lot of money on those kinda sites.

4171211
I still have the majority of my original collection on my shelves.

4171263
I had the game on the Wii.
Note: don't get adaptions on the Wii.

4171286 Wavern and somebody in asian writting. It lookes like a giant robot with a turtle design for his armor, red eyes and tusks near the waist

4171337
The controls are... eh...

I never really got into bakugan

I do! It was pretty nice as a kid

I remember I got a duo hydranoid once.

4172215
I can beat you on that front. :raritywink: I have a BakuPearl Subterra Dual Hydranoid. :derpytongue2:

4172217

I believe mine was chaos, or whatever the light attribute was called. That's like the only one I don't remember,

Pyrus, Darkus, Ventus, (light) Aquas, subterra.

4172251
So close! It's actually called Haos! :rainbowlaugh:
