What if your special talent would constantly ruin the lives of the ponies that are dear to you?

What then? How would your life be? How would you feel about having a special talent that is supposed to help ponies, but harms them at the same time? How would you react to this and how would you try to cope with it? Can you imagine how it would be to go through life with such a cruel fate?
There is a pony who can imagine this, because this is exactly the fate that was bestowed on him.

Crackle Pop has one of the most unusual and unique special talents among ponykind, but also one that creates mysery for him and others.
He is doomed to hurt his loved ones, to destroy their lives and dreams and there isn't anything he could do about it.
It was something he had gotten used to and learned to accept, yet having to witness over and over again how the ponies suffered from his special talent, was still hard to bear for the young colt.
One day, he had to realize that fate was not even stopping for his family, when the most important pony in his life was hit by it and had to suffer. This is the story of this tragic event and everything that followed after:

This is the story I spoke about last week. I'm sorry for the delay in release, but quality takes time and writing this story, so it turned out, took a lot more time than I had expected.
This story is new land for me. It is the first time that I write a story about a new background pony in the show where I deeply delve into the life of this pony, as well as my first fic for a new background pony starring in the show in general.
A story about Crackle Pop, the colt we saw at Derpy's side during the Applewood Derby in "The Cart Before the Ponies", I write about his family, his sisters, the hardships of his life and also about his big heart and what he is willing to do for the ponies he loves.
I know I said that it should be a one-shot, to avoid having to update another multi-chapter story regularly, but I have decided to split it into chapters nonetheless, to make it easier for everyone to find time for reading it, as I would imagine that reading a story with almost 16,000 words in one go is probably hard for many.
I will release a new chapter every 3 or 4 days, to provide sufficient time to read a chapter before I put out the next one.
I put a lot of blood and effort in this story, both into the actual writing and into doing some necessary research and closely observing the episode, to find out about things the episode has only shown us bits and pieces of. Many hours without eating, a mostly sleepless night and many, many careful thoughts went into writing this story, proofreading it and editing it.
It contains a very unique and intriguing theory about the meaning of Crackle Pop's cutie mark and his special talent and I hope that the story will be to your liking. The title of the story is a variation of a quote from Shakespeare's Hamlet, "I must be cruel only to be kind."
