So, while it's still in the early stages (only about 3k done), I wanted to share with you guys the next big, HUGE fanfiction project that is coming for me, and I cannot believe that I get to do this. Those of you who do not follow me and see this, already have an idea as to what it is.
For those of you who don't, I am creating a brand new Choose Your Own Adventure, or, known as a CYOA. I've done one of these before, a collaberative effort called Monster's Curse, which I blogged about recently because the collaborative element finally came to be true. This one will be all me, and, from what I have somewhat planned out already, even larger. Like... at least three times as large.
But, if I was to release it then, A)I think the algorithm would give me a feature before I had ten votes on ti, and B)I would possibly start having my eye twitch as I stared at it. So, instead, I'll be releasing the story in batches, or so that is my plan. Once I have 10k, I'll be looking into covers, things like that, and trying to get it published before I get to 20, or at about 20k.
But, what is it about!? Well, it's called Button's Manehatten Minute. Poor little Button, just barely eighteen, gets to spend a night on his own in great big Manehatten. Will he find trouble with the mob, spend time at the arcades, or try out the raunchy red light district like his mother wants? The choice, is yours.
I am really excited about this, and wanted to share it with all of you before I got started on work today. And, before any of you ask if I've gone insane, no. This is being commissioned, but I've been given 90% creative freedom, so long as I remember to include some sexual deaths, along with my other game overs. And hey, I'm an old school, Sierra sort of creative when it comes to my CYOAs, so mixing a couple of them in there with the other dead ends, no problemo.
So, good times!
Well, not necessarily looking forward to 'sexual deaths' (sounds frighteningly like snuff, which weirds me out), I'm certainly looking forward to this.
