RNC visit and General George S. Dragon Update · 3:05am Jul 20th, 2016
Went downtown to the RNC today. Met Vermin Supreme. He had a Pony bag. I asked him which pony was his favorite. He said "Probably Derpy Hooves...I'm a guy who likes underdogs." I told him that my 'favorite' (as if there could be such a thing) was probably Princess Luna and he was like "she's good...she's good..."
Took a whole bunch of photos and video, but likely too many spicy memes to post here. Seek me out on FB if you care to see them all.
After hearing about the whole Twilight Sparkle debacle, I'm definitely bringing my Twilight Sparkle plushie downtown tomorrow.
Oh, also, Gen. George S. Dragon is sitting at just under 10.7k words and is approximately 3/4 complete. Expect a release in 2-4 days. Here is another spoiler for those of you that are interested:
“What do you mean I’ve been relieved of command!?”
“I mean that you slapped a pony and it was broadcast live to millions back home!”
“Actually, it was four ponies. I guess you missed the three I slapped last week.”
General Lysenhower groaned as she put her face into her hooves. “Of course I did. Look, I’m already in hot water because Princess Luna specifically tasked me with making sure you don’t cause any trouble, and you did. So, you are relieved of command until further notice.”
General Dragon’s eyes narrowed. “Making me a General without a command? You’re just like Twilight!” He got up and threw the door open, spinning around to make eye contact one last time before leaving the office. “You’ll need me to win this war, Lyra. Who else can do it? Bon Bon? Pipsqueak? Aloe? Please,” he scoffed, slamming the door behind him as he strolled out.
Aw man. Spike better not be getting the short end of the stick again. He needs to show Twilight he is the better general.
4102444 Er you do realize you can figure it out by researching the figure Spikes representing in this fic. General Patton and his story is easy enough to research.
Although Spike better watch out for chariots in the immediate aftermath of this reenactment...
4102449 Oh, I know some things about Patton, but not that much TBH.
4102449 Everyone keeps spoiling history! I already had a guy call me out on Bastogne, and now this! You are a sharp one, sir.
4102465 Thank you, and I at least acknowledged the fic needing to be somewhat spoiler free by putting bars over a particular point, but really WWII is 70 years old at this point well past any rules of "NO SPOILERS!"
Oh my god, Vermin Supreme is so awesome. I mean, I thought he was awesome before, too, but he's a Derpy fan to top it off.
4367358 He was straight up lit.
