Ah, but right there it says new players are not welcome. :applecry:

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with D&D 5. Played 4... 3.5, Pathfinder. Not 5 tho. So I'd have to get the rules, learn the differences, etc...

Edit: There are official basic rules online! That is a short list of classes.

I will also say I've never played high level of any D&D. Any Role Playing Game I've played that lasted was in freeform systems, not D20.

I'd love to join but I've never played d&d let alone ponyfinder though I would love to join.
If I was looking to join in on ponyfinder where would I get the rulesets?

4007521 if the time works and you're willing to learn the rules, you are welcome to apply.

Aahhhh... I really want to join, but Tuesdays are no good for me. 5pm isn't a horrible time for me, but I have a kid that sometimes stays up till 8-9. If text is acceptable while he's awake, I could swing it.

I guess if your time is set in stone, I'll just have to wait for another opportunity! :applejackunsure: Looks like fun though!

I will definitely join. Just need to make sure that there is nothing happening on that day for me. What reaces are we going to be able to play as?

4007997 Standard or Everglow options.

4008071 Cool! Well I will love to play as a Doppelganger/ Sea Horse. I am planning on playing as that reace when my family and I play Ponyfinder during our vacation for the summer. Can't wait to play with you guys!

Is pony finder closer to normal 5e or pathfinder?
Been reading the rules for normal 5e and just want to know how much is different.

4008103 Ponyfinder is Pathfinder, but there are fifth ed translations up.

4008106
OK thanks. Been wanting to get into D&D and this has jump started me into really looking into it.

4007814
Well it seems like a good time. I have some questions: Does Roll20 have it's own sharing software, or is it just an organizational site? Also, the account is asking for my name. Would it be fine or rude to use a pseuedonym?

I appreciate the offer, I'll have to decline. I play 3.5 custom on Mondays and feel like the switching between systems will cause me to screw up both.

Y'all have fun now.

I'd be interested in joining. What kind of set up would be required/expected?
I've not used a site like this before. However, I've got no pathfinder experience but I've got a 5th ed game going every other sunday and a 1st ed the other sunday's. Along with years of 3.5ed playing in the past.

If this still open I'd like to go over joining in with you. I haven't played 5th much at all really but I've also been running my own ponyfinder game for a few months.

If only that wasn't 1 AM here.

4008174 People do both, and it's a site to play the game. It offers a virtual tabletop and sheets and everything.

4008249 By 'much at all' do you mean 'not at all' or 'some but not a lot'?

4008218 This would be 5th ed. Roll20 is a virtual tabletop site for any roleplaying game that makes it easy to get together with folks and play a game.

4008553
When it says video and audio what kind of video would you be asking for?

4008572 Only audio is strictly required.

4008551 I mean I've made two characters in it and ran through an adventure at a con once but haven't had the chance to really go past that. So I suppose some but not a lot? *shrugs* Hope that's more of a clear answer.

4008586 Cool, you have more practical experience than the GM :D

4008597 Oh haha well I guess I'll help where I can, though I don't have the books myself at the moment.

4008646 Did you apply on the site? What is your name on Roll20?

4008575
I put a thing up on the site. I'll go through the tutorial later to make sure I'm capable before Tuesday. That is if'n you'll have me.

4008647 I just made a comment on the game now

you made it sound like anypony could join...

Interesting, it seems 5E is not very well known compared to the older ones.

4010425 It baffles me as well. 5e is not a bad game by any stretch.

4010721 I wouldn't know, I've never played it. :derpytongue2:

4010425
Plenty of people get stuck in one edition that they like and don't really want to change. Or so has been the case when asking local nerds what D&D they were playing and interested in.

4010893 Well, it took me five years to learn pathfinder, so it's a bit intimidating to invest that much time in another system, even if has a few subtle advantages. There's also so much content for pathfinder, and so many expansions, the odds are pretty high that there are things I like that won't be available in any other system.

4010897
While what you say is potentually true each version is its own entire game and play style so there may not be what you are used to but there is likely to be something you like. I do understand the not wanting to get into the rules and complications to not be mixed up by the many different play styles and rules though.

Oh jeez I even talked to people (sort of... almost). Rather surprised I got the once in a lifetime chance to play something so new and exciting.
