This was the song that my heart responded to yesterday when I was feeling so low. It came up on an old mix CD of mine, sandwiched between a remix of Adele's Rolling in the Deep and The Heavy's How You Like Me Now?. Nestled amidst that neo-soul and sporting a defiant swagger, this song was that little bit I needed to hang in there. Don't make waves in my water, kiddies. I feel fierce. I feel sharkish. I feel...
Okay, no. I still feel a lil' crummy. But not so much. Still hanging in there.
Did some writing today when SmallCaliber went down for a nap. Chapter 21 for What They Expect to Give is currently over 1,500 words. An update this week is starting to feel likely. That's good. I kind of wanted to do two story reviews today, but the writing was about all I managed today.
I was hoping to write a bit more tonight, but kiddo is awake, and hubby is home early. SO... I guess I shall drink Ojsvedka and watch MLP with them. At least we're not watching Season 1. (I can't believe how much Season 1 I've seen this month, Dragonshy aside.)
Last note: Gave out prizes for my contest! Thanks yet again to Cynewulf and Evowizard25 for the wonderful Silver Spanner stories. You're both winners in my eyes! (and literally, since there were only two prizes... )
