I was doing some late night writing before I went to bed, and I accidentally clicked "Publish" instead of "Edit" when updating the chapter here on fimfic, the buttons of which are right next to each other. It was an honest mistake I can assure you, and let me state that I know full well publishing chapters only to unpublish them to boost it or whatever is against the rules. It was an honest mistake, really.
When I loaded back to the home page, I saw that my idiot mistake landed the story in the top slot of the updated stories list.
I find that happening to be ironically humourous.
Again, for the people following the story, so sorry that happened.

you should be ok it was a honest mistake and you have it posted in your blogs how it happened.
as a co owner of a gaming server I have scene shit happen before, don't sweet it.
if they say any thing at all just explain how it happened.

If the mods do get involved at all, hopefully they'll understand that is was just a mistake.

Lol happened to me once or twice. If it doesn't become.a habit, you'll be fine.
I remember one author posted fake one million word chapter as a April Fools joke. It landed story right into Feature box for some reason, and he got banned for 3 days or something like that.
But in your case, it was accidental, so I doubt mods will do anything.
Your accident got me onto your story, win-win!
If you get into trouble, just tell them you will 'HULK SMASH!' them, then they will be like cute little doggies.
